Question

Can anyone help me to determine the correct
remedy for someone - I'm guessing we've
correctly narrowed it down to: Lycopodium,
argentum nitricum, aurum metallicum, graphites, geselenium, or vleriana.
Key symptoms are: a college student with anxiety. lots of thinking about health. public speaking fear with awkwardness. Both impulsiveness and indecision. some longtime depression, chronic stress. Humorous, fun nature. Becomes nervous around others. Sold car due to a "non-phobic" but ongoing irritation (very different from road rage), like a quick release of stress hormones any time something even marginally dangerous happened on the road. Easily upset. Constant thinking about what others think of him. Constant thinking about anxiety. aggrivated by sweets. Some indecison in life and daily processess. Altruistic. Restless. Desires a feeling of more peacefulness when lying down. Sometimes shaky limbs out of nervousness when dining with new acuantances. sometmes shaky voice in public speaking - big fear of with concurrent desire to master. Would also like to feel simply more relaxed when sitting and talking with friends. Feeling repressed yet emotional nature. Uplifted, excited, and someitmes moved to tears by music. Currently in psycho therapy - very helpful. Desire to be more assertive - fear of reprocussions of being assertive - what will other people be upset with me if assertive? desire for life to be more perfect. better when riding on buses. feels stress often in stomach or legs. nervousness in legs and limbs. public speaking frequently. Coffee (drink not remedy) is a definite sedative. fear of people reading personal journals; also desire for more emotional intimacy. massage improves. cuddling with girlfriend improves. long history of nasal phlegm improved -by aurum metallicum 30c in last 3 days. Some superstitous tendencies. intuitiveness. feels better with logic and supportive environment. active mind. would like to improve focus. but still a/b student. affected deeply by others moods, and feelings towrads him. divorced parents. enjoys yoga, and theatre (currently in a play - would like to feel more relaxed and confident). often not hungry. giving to others. compassionate nature. great anxiety if late for things. lifting weights actually can increase anxiety when done strenuously. tightens msucles. but also usually improves sleep. weights then stretching helps a lot. reading novels improves thru a healthy escape. worry about getting all school work done. general social anxiety.

Also, what do people think of the daily lm potencies for a person who is afraid of antidotes? will colognes typically anitdote?

Thank You very much!ideas are very much appreciated.

Cool

There is so much going on it's not clear what to give. It needs a homoeopath to go through the case carefully. In the meantime stop giving Aurum daily - that could have serious unwanted consequences worse than sinus congestion.

Talking

A couple other constitutional symptoms which
could help in selecting are:
improved by both rain and darkness and being at movie theatres (forgetting symptoms).
Thought I would add these.

Thankyou,
Josh

Don't take the 1M continuously as you may start proving the remedy. One dose is quite suficient.

Ricky, I think Josh meant LM, not 1M; am I right, Josh? I repertorized your case and Arg-n. came up #1, followed by Lyc., and the others you mentioned were no where near.

If you're worried about antidotes, take a low potency repeated daily, such as a 12C
once a day; a 9C twice a day; a 6C three or 4 times a day. Do you know how to administer LM's? They require some amount of demonstration. But yes, LM/1 once a day if you know how.

PS-For "fear of being late", Arg-n. is a "3",
and there are only 2 other remedies listed for this symptom in the top 15, and they are carc.(1) and nat-m.(3).

If pushed to guess, I too would say Arg Nit uppermost, but I would not give it as an LM because this patient shows signs of wanting to be dependendent on something all the time, which means that even if Arg Nit does good work the patient will want to keep taking it and is likely to move into proving. He needs careful monitoring by a professional, not self-assesment. Definitely not.

Josh - you say that coffee is a sedative?

I am curious, this is for all the homeopaths out there, what rubric would this be under? Wouldn't this clasify as a rare symptom? Coffee is usually a stimulant, yes?

My Dear Ricky!

Is our homoeopathic potency could produce those symptoms which are mentioned in Mat Medica. If so. Then where you will place the law
Quote:
LAW:

"The Medicine in the crude form produce symptoms and in the potency form remove those symptoms which are produced in the crud form"
But in this case potency form is also producing symptoms.

If a remedy is given continously a proving may well take place!! That's why classical homeopaths give one dose and wait to see the reaction before giving another.
