Thank you Anna for your prompt help/replies.

As advised by you, I will not take any further medication, Kali Bi or anything else. I have Bryonia 30C at home & will take it the next time I have a headache. I am assuming this is for both the scenarios, right side headache or back of the neck pain.

Thanks again,
Rajan

Anna, my apologies, I messed it up this time. After my last post, immediately, I started having spasms in the back of my neck. The intensity became strong. I tried to hold off & had checked the site few minutes before you had replied. I thought I may not be able to reach you soon, I took an Advil with coke to stop the pain. I get a desire to drink canned coke & with it I recover much faster.

So, I lost the opportunity this time to check out Bryonia i.e. did not take the Bryonia because of the Advil mentioned above. Sorry, this would have given good direction to the treatment.

Next step? I can go back take Kali Bi sol one dose to go back where I left, or take NV 200 one dose as suggested earlier or something else as you suggest.

I would like to add that the jaw area pain was much much improved till yesterday. I had started chewing food on both sides of my mouth (only little pain) but today is much worse. I feel this is related to fluids in the ear..I had been clearing my nose about three times in a day & with every clean up, the jaw pain was getting better. The nasal discharge was white, thick & sometimes tough to clear. There was some itchiness in both the ears, more in the right ear.

I am feeling more energy now after the pain is over. Usually few days before the pain, I feel very fatigued & my stomach gets bloated type feeling. Stomach is light currently.

Anna, can't say for sure, but could be that the intensity of pain may have been less than before & recovery faster this time.

Rajan

Hi

For the right jaw joint/ear region pain, I went to the allopathic doctor today for check up as I felt that though the pain had been getting better it is not progressing further.

As a background, I have now been having this pain for about more than 3 weeks. The pain (intense) is mostly felt when chewing on food etc. & feels temporarily better after clearing my nose. I have been having allergies as you know. The pain is felt in general in the region when I wake up & sleeping on that side of the body.

The allopathic doctor found no fluids in the ear. He is saying it could be TMJ (jaw joint inflammation..) & suggesting 800mg of Ibuprofen three times a day. Depending on the progress, he is thinking to send me to an ENT specialist or orthopaedics or orthodontics specialist.

I am reluctant to take any allopathic medicines. I am getting better but at a very slow pace, may be 0.5 to 1% per day and at this rate will take about few months to get better. I feel that it is fluids in the ear, but the allopathic doc does not see any fluids. He says that the cranial nerve coming from the head splits into two parts, which each go to the ear & the jaw joint & the brain cannot tell where exactly the pain is coming from. Don't know if this is true.

Should I take a dose of Rhus Tox 200C? or something else which covers both the scenarios; inflammation at the jaw joints & nasal/sinuses discharge. The nasal discharge is about same, white to colorless, sticky..& have to clear my nose about three to four times a day & high quantity.

Thanks
Rajan

Rajan,
I had some of the same problems that you have, particularly regarding sleep and frequent headaches. I had a sleep study done a few years ago and I was diagnosed with Periodic Limb (or Leg) movement--PLM, in short. That was the main cause for my headaches starting from morning and then I had to take pain killers just like you. These pain killers (Ibuprofein, not Tylenol) will upset your stomach and create gas, bloating etc. Based on heavy snoring, I think you may have sleep apnea. The cause may be Allergis and/or overweight.

My suggestions are as follows
1. For immediate pain control, take only Tylenol. Don't take Ibuprofein or Aspirin.
If tylenol alone doesn't control pain, get a prescription for Lortab or Codeine. (They both contain Tylenol alongwith little narcotics. So use it only sparingly).

2. Have a Sleep study done. It will confirm whether you have PLM and/or Sleep Apnea or not.

3. I did try Homeopathy. Ignatia Amaria 30c helped me for short term (3-4 weeks), but then headaches started again. This was suggested to me based on PLM symtomps, which I knew I had. What really cured me of my sleep amd headache problems was NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique).
Let me explain. My PLM and headaches were caused by food allergies (which I never thought I had). NAET cures you of these allergies and then associated problems will go away. I am getting good night's sleep now and wake up relaxed for several months. Go to NAET.com for further information and Practitioners in your area. They also have a BB just like this. You can use search for your problems.

4. If your sleep study says you have Sleep Apnea, then you should start using C-PAP. That will stop snoring and give you a good night's sleep.

Good Luck!

Jack

Thumbs up

Rajan, I have printed off this topic and am reading through it making notes. I am currently on page 13 of 23. [My house cleaning never gets done.]

I will help you with your case if you wish, but the following conditions apply:

1. In the case of any acutes you contact me before taking any medication whatever - homoeopathic, herbal or allopathic. Obviously if you can't get in touch swiftly and need advil that kind of thing would be OK, but no more self-dosing.

2. We take the case by email. I am tired of explainig my decisions here on the bb.

3. You stop using creams and powders to suppress you athlete's foot. After every bath and shower you must very thoroughly dry between the toes, using cornstarch instead of talc to dry further if necessary. Nothing more is to be used on the feet. From my reading of the case at the moment I think this could be essential to the case, strange as it may seem to you.

Mail me if you want to pursue this. And no Rhus Tox if I am to help. No Kali Bich, Nux Vom or Bry either.

Anna,
Do you see any Hydrastis here? Just a thought, although I did like the look of Arsenicum originaly.

Thanks for your thoughts Fistral. But nope, this is not what I found. The key rubrics I took were
Generals mucus discharges suppressed - see how the patient has an aggravation when the discharge slows down.
plus
Generals, mucus discharges white

I was so confident in the selection of those rubrics that it narrowed it down to just a few remedies, one of which looks very promising on the basis of further info from Rajan as to causation.
