There is supposedly a "cure" for Parkinsons Disease I've read about on the WWW, but I have not been able to isolate the specific source. I've been diagnosed with PD for 1 year, and I and 1 million more Americans really need relief, any answers?

Do not know about any new cure for Parkinsons on the WWW but its always been associated with the toxic effects of mercury, aluminium, and pesticides
may be you need to consider your exposure to these over the years when putting together a full Homeopathic case history |

Homoeopathy can help Parkinson's Disease but you need to find a skilled homoeopath and to find her/him sooner rather than later.
Finding someone who knows what they are doing can be difficult so take good advice. I directed a relative of mine with PD who lives some way distant to a homoeopath, and the remedies prescribed were way off and did nothing. And that homoeopath came recommended by other homoeopaths to me. So it really can be difficult to find someone competent. Perhaps someone from the US can direct you to someone near you if you say in what locality you reside. You probably know that once the symptoms start to show a lot of tissue changes have already occurred in the brain, so you need to act swiftly. |

Also, please take note of Pat Davis' comment with regard to compiling your health history. These toxic metals are a major factor in Parkinsons and the remedies used to treat it reflect that.

Thanks Anna for the vote of confidence in my humble offerings on the board
I certainly agree its going to take an exceptional Homeopath to sort this out My Aluminium poisoning was not spotted by 2 highly qualified Homeopaths but it only took the 3rd one 10 minutes to know the truth Sadly since she is now dead there are few to take her place |

There was a documentary on british TV last eve. about a guy affected with Parkinsons. There appeared to be some link between levels of seratonin and dopamine in the brain, deduced by the fact that the guy in question had discovered that by using mood enhancing drugs, (unfortunately illegal,) his co-ordination and fluency were significantly improved. This was tried and tested by scientists at Manchester University, England. The clinical trials undertaken proved promising. The scientists are currently working on establishing the link between the levels of each chemical in the brain, or more hopefully of isolating the components of the 'mood-enhancer' that appear to be successful in promoting movement, without the side effects that are predicted with this drug.
This may seem a little haphazard or fantastical, but it may provide a clue, and maybe if you logon to the University website, you could get in contact with the two scientists who have dedicated the last 20 yrs to finding the cure of Parkinsons. Sorry, I can't remeber their names, but Im sure they're linked to the Pharmacolgy department. I hope you don't find this derogatory, I am in no way a proponent of harmful drugs. Rather the newly discovered link between dopamine and seratonin is more interesting the the administration of an illegal substance, and this seems to have opened up new avenues of research for control and cure. Good luck Nic [This message has been edited by nicolaw (edited 16 February 2001).] |
