Question

Okay here is another question. Should I avoid Diet Pop during my treatment? And Anna Bryant if you read this, I was wondering what the reasoning is for avoiding all the foods you mentioned. I understand beer, and sweets as these are things I generally try to avoid anyway, but what is wrong with onion, beans, peas, fruit, milk, and you said "raw foods" does that mean raw veggies? Because since I have low-blood sugar, I tend to eat alot of raw veggies to boost my blood sugar if here is not anything available with a lot of protein. I dont know if I can cut out raw veggies, they play a big role in my diet.

The only reason why you would avoid diet pop is because of the poisonous aspartamine in it!! What is wrong with natural sugar if you must drink the stuff!!

Yep, Diet pop should be avoided at all times. I am constantly amazed at the poisons that the governments allow us to be exposed to!

Aspartame affects our neurological systems. There has been a dramatic increase in brain cancer since aspartame came on the market. (This info has been out since before the advent of cell phones, which are also adding to increased incidence of brain tumors.)

I agree with Ricky and mamma3: aspartame is officially OK to consume, but I can't help thinking that brain cancer is no price to pay for the calorie advantages of diet soda. People tend to disregard the evidence of food studies in which rats gets cancer because the quantities they consume are so large, but as a friend of mine said before cutting his Diet Coke habit, he's drinking enough soda every day to get into lab-rat levels of aspartame.

For a substitute, try drinking seltzer/club soda with fruit juice. Good luck!

I also hope to encourage you off the diet pop because of the aspartame. The options and alternatives are so many, no one should ever have to resort to that neurotoxin laden stuff just because they wish to have something sweet once in a while.

Soda water mixed with fruit juice is a refeshing change to all the syrupy tasting pop on the market. Another alternative is to brew up refreshing fruit teas then keep them cold in your refrigerator. You can sweeten these with stevia, if you wish, or just use honey or plain old sugar if you have to. Personally, I think they are fine even without sweetening, and the lack of sugar actually makes them thirst-quenching.

As to your other question about avoiding raw foods, some people believe that homeopathic remedies can be antidoted by every day substances which haven't been potentized. I am not one of them. I'd say if you were in the habit of eating a lot of raw veggies, it would be unwise to ask you to stop; particularly if you benefit from this. The antidoting question has been discussed many times on the BB--some believe in the theory, others don't. Perhaps you can find the thread and read up on it yourself...then make up your own mind about it after educating yourself. (All I can say is I'll be glad when a few homeopaths who are doing the research on how homeopathic remedies work--the theory of the memory of water, in physics--finally publish their books, we shall see the antidoting theory put to rest once and for all).

I was drinking mineral water mixed with juice and it really helps me stay off of the pop, but my Homeopathic Doctor didn't think that I should be drinking the mineral water either because the minerals in the water would throw off the minerals in my body. Is that true, because now I don't know what to drink. I can't have coffee or pop or anything with sugar or sweetners! Give me some ideas, please.

Gena, the reason I advised you to avoid those things is because they can aggravate the condition of a Lyc patient. But if you find they are OK for you, then well, go ahead. They are not antidotes.

As for what to drink, the best thing is hot or warm boiled water - filtered tap water is the best if your local supply is palatable. It is the most cleansing and hydrating drink and has no bad effects on blood sugar levels. Try it - it's better than you probably expect. Definitely not aspartame drinks brrrrrr no.

Thumbs up

You can't get any better than:
Silver tea (hot water)
Adams ale (cool refreshing water)

One big benefit is that plain water is not saturated and it will absorb the toxins from the body and cleanse it. In other drinks the water is already saturated and is not able to absorb body waste products to carry out of the body.
