Question

there is a growth behind the earfold of my 3 year old daughter.it is now there for the past 8months.Alleopathy doctors suggest operation as the only cure.As we reside in Singapore there is no access to homeopathy here hence we consulted a homeopathy doctor in India thru telecon. He suggested Hepar Sulph 200 once in 3days and a course of 12 days.By this medicine the growth has aggrevated and has become big, more painful and red. There is no pus inside. It was not painful before starting the medicine.

Can anyone suggest any remedies.Does anybody in the group know any homeopathy doctor in Singapore?

thanx

Please stop giving those remedies that have caused the growth to increase.
Hepar Sulph is not indicated for growths behind the ear, and a repeat of 200 like this is bad practice.

I do not know of a practitioner to recommend in Singapore. If you will post more symptoms and details about your child I might be able to work out what she needs.

I am confident that an operation will not be required.

Please say first whether there are any white spots in her fingernails. Any malformation of toenails or fingernails?
Is her tongue coated? If so, what colour?
What are her food preferences/ aversions?
Any strong fears eg dogs, thunder, dark, heights etc?
Is she OK travelling in a car - does she enjoy it?
How is she with vaccinations/needles?
Was she OK after her vaccinations?
What is her overall appearance? Her build etc?
What is her nature?
Was she breastfed?
Does she have a strong smell about her?
All other health problems that you recall from birth.

In particular I would specifically like to know:

Does she have any liking for smoked foods?

Has she ever suffered from a bad cough?

Does she have a great thrist?

Any trouble with kidneys/urinary tract infections?

Any skin troubles?

Any other growths?

One last point is that you have titled your thread "undetectable growth" but then you say that the growth has incresed in size recently. What was the size prior to "treatment" and what is it now? And which side is it on?

thanx for your reply
initially the size of the growth was elongated but mount was not very high.all through it has been hard as there is no pus inside.the allopathy doctors had first treated her antibiotics but failed to see any effect.after giving her Hepar.sulph-200 the growth has got aggrevated, painful and red.the last dose of the medicine was given on Friday 10february.The doctor also advised to ferment it with dry warm cloth.

As such she is a healthy child 17kg at the age of 3years average in height with normal food habits.Quite active and playful.she doesnt have any spots on her nails. She is not allergic to any medicine or food.Has vegetables and fruits without fuss and has normal appetite.

Yet the allopathy doctor is unable to predict what it is and suggest to operate and send it for biapsey to detect what is it.

The homeopathy doctor whom i have been consulting is purely working on my telecon and is unable to see the thing to diagonise it accurately as he is in India.

thanx

Hi - Try this link: http://www.homeopaths.org.uk/reg_inta.htm
- and you'll see one Homeopath listed in Singapore - and you may find others by searching on the WWW. Or the Homeopath you find on this link will surely be able to tell of others in Singapore if s/he is too far away from you.

If you do go to someone in person - make sure you ask questions about his/her method of practise - i.e., a Classical approach - meaning:
One Dose one time and wait method.
One remedy at a time! NO MIXING!
And that s/he follows Hering's Law of Cure to ensure cure is actually taking place, instead of suppression or palliation (soothing the symptoms rather than curing).

Personally, I think it is indeed best to see someone in person, but, of course, if you can't find someone locally, then post all here and see how it goes .

All the best, Lisa

i would describe all the possible symptoms you had asked for.
-She has a normal diet. She cannot take spicy food otherwise she is comfortable with pulses, rice, vegetablesand fruits. She has got inclination towards fish ,egg and chicken.

She has got normal fear for dark but not heights.there is nothing abnormal about her fear.

She has a feeling of naussea when travelling in an aircon car.It is particularly aircon as she is comfortable in an non-aircon car.

She had no problem after her vaccinations.

her appearance is quite normal. She weighs 17kg.I have not measured her height recently but is normal.

She is very active and not fussy or cranky.Quite cheerful by nature.

She was breastfed for 6months

She has a normal sense of smell

She had no other health problems other than infant jaundice when she was 2-3 days old.I think that is very normal now a days

She has a normal thirst.Nothing very unusual. On an average she takes 2 big glasses of water in a day.On one time she cannot have more than 3gulps of water.

She has off and on(approximately once in 2months)cough and cold but nothing very bad.It lasts for 3-4days.During this time initially her eyes water and there is flowing nose.

Sometimes very rare when her water intake is very low(according to my observation)she has burning sensation while urinating. When I increase her water intake it cures. In fact I had the same burning problem in my childhood and I was suggested by a homeopathy doctor to increase my water intake and it helped.

Please help me to diagonise the lump which is behind the ear. it is at the back where our ear outline turns a little inside.it is at the dorsal side , behind the ears.

Is her tongue coated?
What happens if you give her spicy food - does she refuse it or does it make her ill in some way?
Is her aversion to spicy food unusual for a three year old in your experience? [In the UK, not many children are given spices at a young age.]
Does she have a large head for her size?
Has she done well on a particular remedy in the past?
Does she eat anything unusual as children sometimes do - eg sand, chalk, soil, toothpaste etc?
Is she a warm or cold child - ie hands and feet warm or chilly?
When she was vaccinated did she mind the needle?
Which ear - left or right - is affected?

If you would like to, you are welcome to send a photograph of her to me at thegreen@cwcom.net

As for diagnosis, the only way to get a sure diagnosis is to biopsy, but with homoeopathy a diagnosis is not always needed.

No there is no particular Coating on the tongue.
She cannot take Spicy food, as is normal for a child at her age.
No she does not have a large head, I am sending her Photo to your account.
Earlier she has reponded to Homeo medicines for normal cold flu fever etc.
No she does not eat Chalk, soil etc.
She is a Warm Child,
There is a normal level of fear for Needles, nothing unsual,
The Left ear is infected
She Loves animals, and is particularly fond of dogs and cats, but we do not have any pets at home.

Today, the upper layer of the growth pealed off thus exposing the pink/red layer inside, there are a few opening which are visible some white, some red and some black ones.

Sanchaita thanks for the photos. They were helpful in that your daughter was not smiling in any of them, which made me think there is some seriousness and unhappiness for her. Also they helped me to rule out Calc and Silica.

If I am correct she is probably homesick and she needs Bryonia.

But if there is a possibility that the growth was caused by a sting by an insect then Hepar could be curing it.

Otherwise I think Bryonia 200, in a SINGLE DOSE, ie two tablets together, ONCE ONLY, will deal with it, and will help her homesickness too.
