True enough,and the silica may be the remedy; but ticklishness is actually a trait that any remedy can have, as you know. Also, I've yet to see a calc baby look anything like "a lump", as you describe, Anna. Some calc carbs of any age will absolutely throw you for a loop if you go looking for the stereotypical "calc carb" remedy picture.
I wonder, has pulsatilla been tried? Puls has worked in acutes--but I've often seen patients take a dose of their chronic remedies during an acute attack of anything and become instantly better....I think there is definitely something to the idea that the acute provides a window to the chronic remedy...so, if it worked in other acute states, it may work again here. Goodness knows, pulsatilla children are whiny, too!
