Prophylaxis in homeopathy is not fully proven. I give my patients Belladonna 200 to keep in, to use if necessary, on the way to the hospital. Thank goodness no one has ever needed to use it.

Were you aware that meningitis is sometimes caused by vaccination or by orthodox drug treatments. I remember a so-called outbreak of meningitis here in Australia a few years ago, that some "dissadents" suggested was acutally caused by a rubella vaccination that had recently been done at the school, which strangely enough affected the boys as well as the girls. Of course no-one ever mentioned this again.

Meningitis can also occur when high fevers are suppressed with pain-killers, asprin and anti-inflammatory drugs.

David - Funny that you should question how the outbreak occurred.
As you may discern from my postings, our family doesn't "go along to get along" as the old saying goes. We first pulled my son out of public school when they suggested putting him on Ritalin for his high anxiety (just a boy being a boy)he immediately became calm and a model home schooled student.
We then stopped attending a corporate body of 'church' when we found that church politics were in all the churches we became involved in.We still attend home bible studies.
We have only used natural remedies for the past 15 years upon having the best doctors in Atlanta nearly kill my son with antibiotics.
And then of course we know about our government. We have tried very hard to protect ourselves on all basis and our lifestyle appears to be as normal as anyone else's but indeed reflect our belief system.
My husband is certain that this outbreak (just short of being called an epidemic) was orchestrated by the CDC or some similar situation as you mentioned.
Interestingly enough, we have always heard of the "dissadents" in Australia and felt a kinsmanship with them.
My creed is, and I pass it along to you ...
