I moved to Melb 3 years ago, found a really good homoeopath in Doncaster, he teaches at the Southern School (the Melbourne College is a better place to study hom., by the way - 4 years fulltime)Ring the Southern School and ask for Spero's business number. One thing I found a bit annoying about Melb homs after living in Perth was the Dixit fixation - minerals are always the central remedies and plants and animals are only concurrents - it seems heavily taught here, and too rigidly adhered to (how mineral-like).
Contact HERA in Windsor, theyre in the yellow pages. [This message has been edited by felix (edited 15 January 2001).] |

Cheap Rem's: Prahran Health Foods, 98275983, or if they don't have - Prahran Pharmacy, 95102399. You might find Spero Tsindos in the phonebook - Fromhold drive , Doncaster. He's worth the trek - very sharp, witty guy, and has prescribed all the right stuff so far for me and a couple of friends. Let me know of any good contacts, still hunting Melb for them.

I will be moving to Melbourne within the next 6-12 months, which may be too late for whatever problems you may currently have. I might be able to dig up some names though.
I was unaware of the focus the colleges there place on minerals. Has anyone else had any experience of that? I can't imagine excluding whole kingdoms of remedies!!! ------------------ David Kempson Dip.Homoeopathic Medicine Member A.H.A(Australia) |

Didn't know about this concentration on minerals, does anyone have any other information, I find it a little concerning that this should be the case when so much is available!
Any info is welcome |

The three naturopaths I work with, plus some in the area and a couple I've met, have all been trained at the Southern School, and said that there was this focus. I don't think MCNM do it. The two lecturers from Southern do tend to prescribe along those lines, from what I hear. Actually, I'd like to be wrong about this, does anyone else have a comment?
