Hello:

What does a white spot on one of my fingers (fore-finger on right hand) mean? Does it mean I am short of Calcium or is it an indication of an underlying problem/disease?

If you want to see more details on my case history, you may read a thread on the topic "Snoring & Headache Problem".

Thanks for your help.

My white spots on the nails went away after taking Zinc supplements. However, check with other treatment before taking anything which could interfere.

A single white spot on one nail doesn't really mean anything. It is not a meaningful symptom for homoeopathic diagnosis. If the white spots covered all the nails on one hand or even all the nails on the body then it may be considered important for remedy selection. It is important not to get caught up in minutia when looking at a case. Symptoms which affect the person as a whole are much more useful of prescribing (temperature sensitivity, times of the day, emotional symptoms, etc)

Recent Background Info.

I am not sure exactly when I developed this white spot on one of the nails, but this happened recently (within the last month).

Within the last month, I had taken Aconite 30C & Pulsatilla 30C (alternated for few days) for cold/flu/allergies & fever. Continued with Kali Sulph 30C for few days, 2 to 3 days of Kali BiCh. 30C & now almost a week with Natrum Sulph 30C.

Since taking Natrum Sulph, the yellowish greenish nasal discharge is almost gone. But my knees & legs have been aching & getting heartburn in the night which wakes me up. Drinking water, elevating my head by using additional pillows helps.

Could this white spot on the nail has to do with any of the remedies recently taken?
Any further advise is welcome.

Thanks
Rajan

Rajan, none of the remedie you have is covering the white spot, after Kent, but, natr sulp, could be a possible giver of it , isnce sulphur is one remedy that has that symptome, but, its a symptome, that require a analysis of your case, and a new remedie prescription, based on that rubric, white spots on nails.

HI,

I read in the MM that Fluocic acid has this symptom (with others), but it is not in my rep. Why?

To GM-

Will ONE of the remedies (in this list of remedies for white spots) cure (or help) ANY person who has a significant number of white spots on nails?

Thanks

Yes, its cause of the extended prooving of ac fl is done lately. but as silicea is there, and ac fl the remedy closest to sil in certain case, it should have been there, but do note it in.
And not as you say, one remedy will not cure any, its the particular correct remedie for that particular person, who cures.

Thanx GM.

Sorry if I was misunderstood.

I meant to ask: is it almost "sure" (or so)that A REMEDY for this person (with white spots) will be PROBABLY found AMONG the remedies in that list?

Thank you for repling to the corrected question.

Any remedy can cure white spots on the nails, if it agrees with the mental and general symptoms of the person. Unless there are no higher ranking symptoms than this particular symptom, it will not help find the remedy to cure the patient.
