Hello everyone!

What to take in case of emergency? I dropped a table-flap (?) on my thumb this efternoon and it really hurts! The wound is not bad, but it hurts in the bones (it feels like it anyway). I know that it will be OK in a few days, but right now I donīt have that time, because I have massage-school tomorrow and I really need my thumb there! What remedy should I take to decrease the pain and perhaps prevent that the pain will be stronger until tomorrow? Itīs just a throbbing, aching pain in the thumb (in the bone).

Thumbs up

If it's primarily a bruised feeling, Arnica.
If it's more of crushed nerves in the tip of the thumb then Hypericum.

Ítīs not a "nerv-kind" of pain, and itīs not bruised eather. I canīt explain it better than throbbing in the joint...No, I havenīt tried Ruta, I havenīt took anything yet...

Hi VS, we've had lots of these 'accidents' round our house lately - and if no nerve pain - I would go with Arnica - unless someone else has a better suggestion...hope you feel better soon!!

Thanks, it became swollen and itīs hard to bend it or to use it. It feels as if I had no strength in it and it becomes more and more numb.Should I take Arnica than or Ruta?

Arnica and the longer you leave it the worse it will get. Arnica works best given immediately. I suggest you take a dose every 15 mins for an hour and then see how it is!!

If it no better go for Symphytum next.
