Anna,
I am curious to know, what is the source for the information that things such as "apples, beer, coffee, fats, fish, onions, rich foods, tea, and warm food" will affect the action of Thuja? If that is the case, wouldn't it be more prudent to just prescribe it in the LM to avoid all the possible antidotes? |

Hi All,
Anna, I have to order a remedy for my daughter so I'm gonna get the thuja lm, just in case, to minimize shipping costs. Also the ovulation pain is in my abdomen that I was wondering about, although the headaches seem to get worse between the end of my period to the beginning of ovulation. I wonder if this is hormone related. I don't eat or drink much of the items listed anyway, hate coffee and tea, never drink beer or other alcohol, onions are just gross and sadly apples don't appeal (get it? "a peel") ![]() I will probably post daily, more for myself to keep track of everything, you son't need to reply unless necessary. I don't want to be "pesky" Babs |

Babs, you are in no way pesky. Good thing to post every day for the record.
After menses and prior to ovulation, the egg sac is growing to bursting point in the ovary, stimulated by hormonal activity. Once the egg sac breaks the hormone cycle changes. Ovulation pain in the abdomen is not unusual, but it should be cured by homoeopathy in time. The list of things to avoid with Thuja is just that, because it's not a list of antidotes - they are things that MIGHT aggravate a Thuja constitution. The list is taken from the Encyclopedia of Remedy Relationships by Abdur Rehman which I regard as a necessary text for all homoeopaths. |

Well nothing exciting to post. I've had this stiff neck and headache pain still. It feels like wry neck. Can't turn my head to the right at all. It is hard to tell but I feel like the headaches have been worse since starting homeopathy.
Very depressed today, despair of getting well. Ovulation pain, definately worse on the left side though felt a bit on the right too. Feels like the ovary is festering or something.

Dear Barb
GM wrote on my thread "Human Design...": "Nah..not all i see it working with thuja....so why mess up things more than needed? " Which I infer to refer to your case, since I have not prescribed Thuja to anyone besides you on the bb. I imagine that is why you have posted, understandably, on GM's forum at HI asking for clarification as to his involvement with your case. Barb, it is not possible for me to manage your case alone with GM making sly comments to undermine your confidence in the prescription, and to cause you anxiety to do it this way. When I offered to help with your case, I did not envisage taking it over - just a bit of teamwork. I suggest that you might like to cut and paste the contents of this thread onto HI discussion page if you wish for input from both me and GM. It's the only forum where we may/will both post. |

Okay, I will try and post this again. I posted a reply earlier and waalla it is gone!
Anna, I truly would still like your input and hope you are willing to still give it. When I gave my case to you and Geir I didn't hear back from Geir, but since you stated he agreed with the prescription for thuja I assumed we were all working together on this. Then when he started his forum I asked if I should post on that site and he said I could just contact you since you were the prescriber. So I am confused and I hope you don't feel like I had been taking advantage of your help, but I did think this was a team effort. So I will repost my case updates on Geirs site and do hope you will continue to give your input. Quite frankly, although I have the utmost respect for GM he is, well, not as approachable as you and can be, at least in my opinion, a bit intimidating. I am much more comfortable sharing all my case info with you. Geir if you are reading this please don't be offended, I highly respect and admire you and your work. Please let me know what you think with my case. I haven't heard from you at all after I sent my case again last week. Warm regards, little 'ol me |

Barb, I don't think anyone is offended. You just write what is obvious - GM is more skilled in prescribing so you want his input, I am more approachable. GM and I can complement one another well working on cases this way.
It's a pity you have this "practitioner trouble" since as a patient ideally you shouldn't have such concerns added to you. The forum you need to post the case on to get both inputs is not GM's own forum at HI - it's the Discussion forum - at the top of the main list. I am not sure that I am welcome on GM's own forum, but we both post on the main HI discussion forum. |
