Hi
I had posted about my baby on remedies through breast milk and Infant reflux, I thought to start a new thread since her spitting up is very rare now (she is now 7 months old) and I want to concentrate on her eczema. I'll just give the background first. I had extreme hyperemesis for the first 5 months of pregnancy, but she was born through normal delivery and was 7lbs 3 oz and 20" at birth. I had taken 3-4 doses of Puls 200c to bring on labor and was given nubane for pain relief. I later on found out that I was given pitocin 5 minutes before birth. When my water broke they had found slight meconium in the fluid, so they took her away right after birth to suction of the fluid. She developed low fever on the third day, so they had me give her formula, saying that the fever was due to crying from hunger. I did supplement with formula once in a while during the first 2 months but after that she has been exclusively breast fed. She was given all the regulation vaccinations. After the first time in the hospital (HEB) she was given sulph 30c before the vaccinations under GM's directions. When she was one month old, she developed a very bad case of baby acne. GM recommended Tub 1M and it really worked a miracle, it disappeared within a couple of days. It was one month later that I started noticing slight eczema on her elbows. She also started spitting up a lot. She was given calc p 12c twice a day for a week and calc p 200c once after that. Her eczema goes down for a while and then comes back up. She now has mild eczema on her chest, elbows and on the back of her neck and knees. What complicates things is that during this time I have had tub CM, Nat mur and Sepia (most recently) for my asthma. After I took the Nat mur, I noticed that she has been rubbing her nose and eyes a lot. She still continues to do that. She is also scratching her scalp. She has very little hair on her head. She sucks her thumb, sometimes she even sucks her big toes. She is a happy baby, she has started showing some stranger anxiety. She has a lot of birth marks. She has a hemangioma on her head, some stork bits on her forehead (which has not disappeared yet). She has flat brown marks on her hands and buttock. She is showing no signs of crawling, though she is sitting and wants to stand up a lot. She likes to sleep on her back with her hands up, but will sleep on her stomach too. I would like help for her eczema. She has started scratching herself (not too hard) Righ now she is having a cold that might have been triggerred by our going out at night on Friday. She has thick yellowish green mucous coming out of her nose and she is sneezing. I have also noticed loose stools since the cold started. There is no fever. She is very clingy and slightly fussy because of the cold. As long as she is being held all the time she is fine. My daughter had exzema also. Hers went away after she was taken off formula that had a cow's milk base and when I eliminated milk in my diet as she was still nursing some. Yours may not be this simple but it may be worth a try. Good Luck.

Hi
I hardly take any diary, at the most 1/4 cup of milk with my breakfast cereal. No other diary including cheese, yoghurt etc. My older daughter has eczema too and we had taken her off diary and it did nothing. I also wanted to add that she has head sweats when she sleeps Thank you Sarah |

Hi
I am planning to continue nursing for atleast one more year. My asthma has gone for now. So I can stop taking any more remedies myself. Should I wait for her cold to be over before I give the sulph 200. Or do you mean the cold symptoms could be from the sepia? She is also coughing a bit, not bad enough to pain her though. Thank you Sarah [This message has been edited by sara_jd (edited 20 December 2000).] |

Hi
I have not given the sulph 200 c or any other remedy (nor taken any myself). We travelled by plane to the colder northeast US on christmas day. The next day I noticed that my baby's cheeks were rosy red. I thought that it was just frost bite. The next day I noticed rashes on her legs and other areas several raised red areas and I thought it was insect bite or something. Now her cheeks have become much redder and the skin is thickened. The rashes now have started looking like lots of tiny pimples and they have a white tip. This has started looking very much like the rash on her face when she was one month old and the pediatrician wanted us to use cortisone cream. That rash disappeared in a few days after we gave her Tub 1M following GM's directions. This current rash has not yet become as bad as that time, but it is getting worse every day. Is this the Sepia 200c I had taken causing problems? It is almost a month since I took the Sepia and the change in my diet is some pineapple I ate 3-4 days before this rash appeared. GM, please advice. Should I give her Tub 1M once more? She has had calc phos after that and then Nat mur and hepar sulph and Sepia through breast milk. Sarah |

Hi
I gave sulp 12c on Friday evening. Didn't see any difference in the rash. The rash has been getting dry (skin is stretched), but the cheeks and other areas are still red. Nothing changed with Sulp. I was planning to give Tub CM on Saturday evening, but by saturday noon she started showing the first signs of the viral infection I have posted about in the "viral infection ?? thread". So i decided to wait. By mid night she developed a fever. So I haven't given the Tub. Her cough is become worse. She now cries when she coughs. Apetite has decreased a bit but not disappeared. The fever comes and goes. I have not given any medication. She has a clear runny nose. The cough so far is not productive. She is happy as long as she is being held or we are nearby. She is still alert and interested in toys and playing by herself for short intervals. We flew back from my sisters house early this (sunday) morning and she was fine through the journey. She was indoors from the time we reached my sisters house on 25th till our departure today and a short trip outside yesterday evening so I don't think it was triggered by exposure to cold. Please advice Sarah |
