Hi,

Take a look at www.tinussmits.nl/english and click on the "Inspiring Homeopathy" link. I believe he has written about this rememdy on this site.

Here is an off-line journal filled with information on this remedy:

The New England Journal of Homeopathy, Fall 1996 (vol 5 mumber 4) (you may be able to obtain this via your nearest homeopathic library or look up the New England School of Homeopathy on-line for information).

The Homeopathy On-Line journal, the link VS gave, has one other really useful article on it--Amy Lansky's article called "Max's Story: A Carcinosin Cure" describing its use as a cure for autism.

Hope this helps,
Divina

Hi Divina,
I liked that site you recommended.
But could you, or someone else, please explain to me what are "cafe-au-lait" spots.
Allways wondered about them.
Thanks!

I've always had those large mole-like spots...but never been on the pill long enough to cause side-effects...aren't those marks called cloasma?

"Cafe-au-lait" marks are milky coffee coloured pigmentation of the skin. They are not raised, and can vary greatly in size from very small to covering a large proportion of the body. They often appear within the first few months of life. Such marks will darken in colour on exposure to the sun.

check www.tinussmits.com for a good start,
Books: Philip Bailey (ignore his tendency to overstate Carc's uses and you can get a lot out of him) Vermuelen's Synoptic materia medica, Roger Morrison's Desktop guide OK for Carc, great for general use.
I tried Carc myself after limited reactions to other seemingly obvious remedies - pretty nasty aggravation - go easy, but its worth it - took about 4 weeks to really settle down, and apparently this happens with this remedy, mind you i'm coming from the rather unreliable source of student gossip, here.
Good keynotes: Sensitive - to others, to reprimand, thunderstorms, loves dancing and chocolate (sepia) Cries on reprimand - watch the kids - can be bullied easily. Anticipation anxiety, sleepless esp. at 4am, CHECK PHYSICAL HISTORY - lack of common childhood diseases and fevers, more likely to go straight to the chronic inflammatory stuff - pneumonia, glandular fever, whooping cough - have a tickling cough with chest oppression. sleep on stomach, similar in a few ways to Med - also passionate and can be rebellious out of longing. My lecturer likens to Phos - sensitivity, sympathy, romantic, chocolate, thunderstorms and also Ars and Tub. Its becoming overprescribed in his opinion.good luck

Thanks in advance.

There is an interesting clinical study with case notes on the use of carcinosin at
http://planete-homeo.org/english/mat...nosin_clin.htm
which may be of interest.
