Ricky, you had suggested equisetum 6x 2-3 times a day for 2-3 weeks for bedwetting. How many pellets equal one dose?

Thanks!

One dose = one pillule (pellet) anymore is a waste.

Thought I would toot Ricky's horn for a minute!

My daughter took the equisitem for 8 days, maybe one dose per day. (I kept forgetting to give it to her.) Within a week she was wetting again.

So I put her in charge of taking it in am and before bed. As before she stopped wetting right away. She took it until she basically got a proving. (Probably three weeks.) I told her that meant she didn't need to take it any longer. She has been dry!!!!

It's so nice not having to buy pull-ups any more!!!! Thanks Ricky!!

Question

Ricky, don't you think it could be suppressive to use Equis like this, rather than a constitutionally prescribed remedy? [I know it's what the questionner asked for.]

The proving was she started wetting again! I had her stop and she wet two more times. And has been dry since. (About two weeks.) She couldn't go two days before we tried this, so I am hopeful that it will stick.

Anna, Geir and I had conversed quite extensively on the subject and had no result. (Of course other things did improve with her.) So I thought I might as well give it a shot. Its so nice to be able to walk past the pull-ups in the store and not have to put them in my cart.

My pleasure and I advise taking it for 2-3 weeks. What proving symptoms did she get?

Anna and Ricky,

Would you mind commenting on the comment about this being suppressive? I ask because I am thinking of trying this with my daughter, she is 5. GM has prescribed something else for some other problems too so we will be going that route but so far nothing seems to have touched the bedwetting and just wondering about the equis as an option.

Thanks Lovely Ladies,
Moi

Pat and others, I do not doubt the efficacy of the prescription. The question is whether it is suppressive if not prescribed on a wider symptom picture. If the Equis symptom picture is present I have no misgivings.

It is so obviously a suppression of a discharge that I have to conclude that it is suppressive if given for enuresis when the symptom picture is absent.
I can understand why mothers take that option, but in theory I don't agree with the practice.
