Unhappy

I CANNOT believe MY HOUSE!!!!
My son now has a sore throat.
BIG white spot on left tonsil.
Right side is sore (he said, but he isn't so reliable when pointing, cuz he chooses the
next side next time asked).
No fever.
Sweated AFTER going to sleep tonight...the bed was SOAKED.
Noticed his urine was cloudy today (he had asked me to help him, which means I
have to hold his hand while he holds his winky straight to aim for the toilet). It was
a rush of cloudy urine - and shocked me, cuz at that point, I didn't know he had a
sore throat...

GRUMPY!!!!!!!!!
Cried a lot today, esp when he couldn't control EVERYTHING - every little thing. If
he wanted a juice - he had to have it RIGHT NOW!!!! If I said wait just a second, he
SCREAMED and cried PLEEEEEEEEASE NOW......when I told him to get his shoes on to pick up sis from school..he protested he didn't want to go....cried and whined.

Then he had his reasonable moments too. Like when he wanted to write numbers and letters (he calls it 'homework', bless him) and he cried and whined when he couldn't form a new letter - so when I helped him (I told him to simply ask for help - not to cry/whine for it) he looked at me, and said, "Okay, mummy, will you help me write this letter?"

Has to be coaxed to get into the bath - and he ALWAYS SAYS - okay, but sister
has to go FIRST, then I'll go! MAKES DEALS!! (He's driving me nuts the last few days
with his incessant demands, whining, etc).

WHINING HEAPS and won't stop!

Then he finally complained of sore throat, but he did it this afternoon, when I had
just told him off for screaming at me for the hundreth time today, so I thought it
was emotion whelled up in his throat (he was trying to suppress his crying, cuz I shouted at him to STOP WHINING - I was driving, so it was unnerving to me ).

Anyhow, looked up rem's and did a lot of reading...decided on NM. Seemed to be
indicated since he had Malaria recently, cloudy urine, grumpy and sad (he was very
sad when he got told off, and stewed over it for two hours with a very long and sad
face - I felt terrible and my heart went out to him).

When we returned from the school run for his sister, he was crying - and then started laughing while crying (NM) when I tried to jolly him out of his foul mood.

Hope I got it right. He's sleeping peacefully now.
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Yes, your house truly is rocking out there--though I wouldn't say its in quite the same way most North Americans would interpret that phrase

Sounds like you hit it on the mark. I sure hope so...

P. S.(Horse urine smells strongly of ammonia. Don't even ask how I know).

As you know I don't know enough to offer a lot of advice. But I do know that hugs and kisses can help so give him some extra from his friends in Canada.
Thinking of you (still). JEN

PS...I also forget to mention - he had a split/crack in his lower lip today (never noticed one on him before) almost dead in the centre.

Hi Lisa,
seems you got it right, the crack is a prominent symptom for NM. Hope he's feeling a lot better when you read this. Thinking of you...

Thanks GM, I remembered you telling me he might need it - bells went off when i read up the mm and the rep...I was amazed how it stood out so clearly..so thanks for the confirmation .

He's running a slight fever this morning...but happy enough (playing with his trains....what a shock, huh?! ). He's also a bit snarky still - if he doesn't get exactly what he wants when he asks. He shouted at the maid when she didn't understand him (little mite! grrr).

Anyhow, I'm sure he'll be fine..but I will post later if there are any significant changes. I'm going to esp look at his urine to see if that changes .

Thanks again, everyone.

Hi - Haven't managed to catch him when he went to toilet to check his urine (he's might independen these days ). No more fever .

He did vomit all of a sudden, around 3pm - but, it was only a small amount. Seemed fine after that - and when I asked if his tummy was upset, he said, with a resounding voice, "NO!, but my throat still hurts." And then he went about playing again .

Anyhow - overall, he seems pretty well on his way. Active and playful today - and less snarky than yesterday - although he had his moments.
