Question

Hi all

It's been a while since I posted to tell the truth i've been horrendously ill with depression and anxiety. GM suggested I try an LM potency but suggested that I ask you (Lisa) for the details on how to use etc. I received it today and firstly they have sent a liquid (he said to order dry), so now I don't know if I take the liquid or if I have to dilute it first....
2. I don't know the procedure for LMs. Is it to take one drop and then bang the bottle or bang it first or what!!!!
3. Do you take daily until an agg and then stop? (Knowing me I'll get an agg. on the first day!!)
4. Can they be antidoted as easily as other rems? Either deliberately (if the rem doesn't agree) or accidentally (which I suppose doesn't matter so much as it will be repeated the next day, right?)

Thanks to all in advance for your input.
Deb

Hey Debdell,

Sorry to hear things have not been good with you. For the liquid lm's you take 3 drops in a half glass of water. The next day succuss the solution by pounding it on the flat of your hand 5 times and take 3 drops in half glass of water, the next day succuss and take again. Continue with this until a hard aggro shows. Hope things begin to improve for you.

Best wishes,
Barb

Hi Deb...Barb is correct. Remember those instructions I sent to you? Well, basically the first steps are already done for you - so you simply do as Barb said.

Succuss the bottle..hitting it 10 times (unless Geir has told you to bang it less number of times..this is how to adjust the power for sensitive patients)..then,

Take 3drops of rem from the bottle and put into 4-5 oz of water.

Stir it (not with plastic).

Then take 1 tsp of this and throw the rest out!

Make sure that glass you used is properly sterilised so no one else is exposed to a dose of the rem.

The Lm's are not easily antidoted because you are taking them daily..so if you did happen to antidote - it is temporarily until your next dose! Great huh?!

From my understanding you take it until either a hard aggravation or until you feel amelioration - but I'm sure I will be corrected if I misunderstood this part. Read that link on D Little's site again - it specifically talks about this aspect and I recall it is fairly clear (although my memory may not be !).

Hope this helps.
Lisa

Hi thanks both

Sorry Lisa no I don't remember instructions from you.... But I have forgotten A LOT lately. My poor daughter missed 3 parties this Christmas because I got the dates or times wrong!!!! If nothing else I usually have a sharp brain, aggh!

I did read the article at David Littles site. It was like wading through mud for me though. Not that he's boring that I'm slow.

Thanks anyway I'll give it a try and keep you posted!!

Deb

Sorry Lisa

I just thought, is it less 'bangs' for sensitive patients and 10 otherwise.

Oops! If you'll pardon the way that sounds !!!!

The times the bottle is banged is adjusted to the sensitivity of the patient.

The more sensitive the patient - the less bangs sometimes as little as 2 succussions, and.........
the less sensitive the patient - the more bangs (10 usually).

Hope that clears up the big-bang theory ...hope you get to feeling better soon!!
Lisa

PS..if you want the file I sent before..just email me and I will attach and re-send it to you .

I use the LM's almost exclusively and never prescribe them daily. They can last 3-7 days or longer in an insensitive person. Just like the centesimals, you don't want to take a dose while the previous one is still acting. If having aggs, definitely don't take it again until it has completed its action.

Dear Deb,

Go to www.homeopathy.org. It's the web site of the Homeopathic Academy of Natuopathic Physicians (HANP) which puts out the journal "Simillimum". In the Fall 2000 issue, there is a whole article on LM's and absolutely everything you need to know about them including how to take them. It answers all your questions. Perhaps you can order it on-line. The author of the article agrees with "nrg" that if there is improvement or an aggravation, the remedy need not be repeated and one should wait until one or the other wears off before taking the next dose, and in case of agg., one should take steps to mitigate against it happening again by lowering the succussions, taking less often, and so forth.

Sincerely,

Snoopy

Dear Deb,

Ooops! I made a mistake; I gave you the web address of NASH--the North American Society of Homeopaths! Good grief! Here's their e-mail address, as it seems they have no web site: hanp@igc.apc.org and ask about the Fall 2000 issue of Simillium.

Sincerely,

Snoopy
