Here is a link to Clarke's MM: http://homeoint.org/clarke/a/amm_phos.htm
This MM is 100 years old so you can probably find more info from a newer source. Not much info here, says it's for facial paralysis and gout. |

Dear Karenss
If you have been prescribed the rx just let it be - as a homeopath we are to be unprejudiced observer and I would think that we should be unprejudiced pt as well. Knowing too much can be unhealthy for the case. You were px that rx for a reason let it work and after it is all said and done you can take a look at the rx from a different point of view. L |

Thanks for all the replies. Yes, cib, if you have the time, I'd appreciate the info. All I could find was specific physical characteristics. By the way, my boy is slowly doing better. Thanks for asking, Shoshy! Happy Holidays to all. -K

I have used Am-phos twice very sucessfully, but in two adults. I'm not sure what they would look like as children. Divina is correct in directing you to Scholten's books, as this is how I was able to prescribe such a relatively unknown remedy. In both cases I prescribed on the mental characteristics as outlined in Homoeopathy and the Elements.

Sorry for the confusion, David. I have been prescribed am. phos., my son is a different issue... I have been prescribed on the basis of mentals primarily. My physicals fit sepia, which I have taken for a long time. However, my second dose of (prescribed) 10m did not act in either sphere. Thanks for your interest.
BTW, my other child fits puls. to a "T", but does not show lasting changes with 200c. As soon as he becomes slightly ill, a cold or something, he immediately reverts. Should I give 30c for these acute times, and stick with 200c for constitutional treatment, or go with 1m and look for constitutional changes as well. Always a question.....!-K |
