I sure could use some advise regarding my 3 1/2 year old daughter's labored breathing while sleeping. The laboring begins immediately upon falling asleep and her breathing is interrupted all night long. During a recent vacation when she came in to sleep with me I was afraid if I wasn't awake to nudge her to take a breath, that she would surely suffocate. Of course, she didn't, but it was hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. This vacation brought to light just how bad things really are. She breathes through her mouth and creates a foam after hours of struggling. Her older sister had her tonsils and adenoids removed at the age of 3 after 8 months of unsuccessful treatment by an holistic health consultant trying one remedy after another. I've had my younger daughter to a new homeopath three times, without success and no knowledge of what was given because that's the way this doctor works. There's no need for me to second guess his prescription. The apnea is scary, but I would like to give homeopathy another try before resorting to surgery.
I had my adenoids removed at 18 months and my mother told me today that listening to my daughter breath during a nap, took her back 40 years to when I was a child struggling to breathe.
My daughter is generally very healthy, no ear infections, rare colds, no respiratory problems. She's never been on an antibiotic. On occasion she has a short lived (24 to 36 hour, unexplained, relatively high, 102 to 103 degree fever which I leave to run its course) without other symptoms. She has had no immunizations. Successfully treated by me at 18 mo. for eczema and a year later for a wart on her right knee.
She has sandy blonde thin hair, blue eyes and an olive complexion. She is petite. I think of the sudden growth spurt her sister had after her surgery and wonder if her labored breathing is affecting her growth. She has a relatively good appetite, but rarely finishes what she asks for. Her Pop Pop has given her coffee and she loved it. She has a fun sense of humor and is pleasant to be around, loves to dance and put on shows. She's very sensitive with tender feelings and when someone laughs at something she's said or done, she'll cry because she thinks they are laughing at her. If I raise my voice she cries because "mad means hate" and she often worries that those she loves, hate her. Oh yeah, she hates bugs and loves the water.
Any advise will be considered and greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance for your insight. DP

I feel for you, as I have a friend who was in a similar situation. Hopefully GM or one of the other Homeopaths will look at your case soon.

Would you happen to know your daughter's bood type? Yours? Your other daughter's?

Me and both of my daughters are A+. Something that I forgot to previously mention is Morgan's love of milk. She asks for it often and with every meal, 50% of the time I can talk her into a glass of water instead.

Yes, this can be fixed by homoeopathy. See GM's website questionnaire to learn what info is needed.

I am intrigued as to what remedies you used to treat your daughter's eczema and warts.

Anna, I'm very new to this site. Would you please tell me where I'd find GM's questionnaire? I intended to treat wart with thuja, but decided to start with sulphur. One does of 30c and the knee was clear in 2 1/2 weeks. Eczema, I'd have to look up in a journal I was keeping at the time. It was a couple of years ago and I have 3 kids. The homeopath I mentioned, that doesn't like to disclose what he's prescribing, also doesn't want to know about previous problems or what remedy was used to treat. He says it's obviously not a problem anymore and the remedy used has no bearing at all on what he's looking at now or what might work on the present problem. I found that curious.

To little info, most of it is irrelevant.
But what i can suggest is silicea 200, the sensitivity point to it. use one dose 200, once.

I'd be happy to give you more info. I went line by line off of your questionnaire. What more can I offer?

GM, the following should help.
Morgan has no vision faults. One wart on right knee treated with sulpher and cleared in 2 1/2 wks. Successfully treated for eczema at 18 months. Toe nails curl under when they get long and will grow into the skin if not clipped. Hangnails on the big toes are frequent. Her breath in the morning is pretty nasty, mentioned this to her doctor who gave her a remedy, it worked for about a month, but has returned. Weather seems to have no bearing on the problem. There is a fear of bugs and of being laughed at. She has very sensitive feelings. As mentioned previously if you correct her or raise your voice at her she cries, very easily. No reocurring dreams that I'm aware of. I just asked her favorite color because I've never heard her mention it and she says she doesn't know. When I asked her to pick one she said purple, although I think it would be different in 5 minutes. She loves milk and dislikes almost all cooked veggies, she'll eat sweet red peppers and carrots raw.
She loves to snuggle. For a three year old it's unreal how easily you can reason with this little girl.
I'd like to start her childhood problems with my pregnancy since it's the only other problem she's ever had. Because of my age I agreed to a CVS prenatal test which resulted in all of the cells being as tetraploid (having 92 chromosones instead of 46), there was not one normal cell in the sample that was tested. These pregnancies almost always terminates themselves, if not result in severe retardation. The doctor that pioneered the test told me he and his partner had done about 19,500 of these tests and got this result 20 times. Half of those women terminated their pregnancies and he would not give me the results of the other 10, said he'd have to pull all of those files. Needless to say the first half of my pregnancy was extremely stressful. I waited another month and had an amnio which showed everything was fine. Since her normal delivery there have been virtually no illnesses except for 3 or 4 unexplained fevers running around 102.5. They last a day or two and disappear without interference. She's had no vaccinations, operations and just 2 weeks ago fell off of a chair and needed a few stitches in the back of her head. The symptoms where first noticed about a year ago (age 2 1/2) as a gentle snore and have progressed to apnea. I am only assuming it is her adenoids. While her tonsils are slightly enlarged as were my other kids at her age, I've seen bigger. With my older daughter the surgeon that removed her adenoids told me they were quite enlarged and since their removal her apnea has disappeared. Morgan's sleep seems remarkable undisturbed. While she gasps, snores, snorts and blows bubbles she doesn't seem to be disturbed by any of it. It's the rest of us that it makes crazy. Family history: paternal grandfather had a heart attack in his late 50's, maternal grandfather had cancer of vocal cords. Father has high cholesteral, mother had adenoids and tonsils removed at 18 months, prone to cysts and chronic sinus problems. I hope this helps. Let me know if more is needed. Thanking you in advance for your time, I do appreciate it. DP

I forgot to mention that she was nursed until she was 23 months old and had nothing but breastmilk until she was 9 mo. old.
