Just a little word of encouragement for people finding it hard to cope with having glaucoma
My mother (now 35) had glaucoma when she was 6 months old, which is very rare. She lost all sight in her right eye and ever since, her sight has bee very bad. She was operated on at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London where they slit her eye to release the pressure. All her life she has had to go back to the hospital every year so that the pressure can be checked. Up until about four years ago the pressure has been ok but now it has risen again and she has to put drops in twice a day. The only thing that having glaucoma has stopped my mum being able to do is wear contacts which, unfortunatley, is her only dream. Please do not be scared about glaucoma, if they could do what they did for my mum in 1965, imagine what they can do now. I think Moorfields Eye Hospital has a website and that can give you a lot more info than I can. Good Luck [This message has been edited by Bethy (edited 01 December 2000).] |

Even if conventional medicine finds a "cure" for glaucoma, it will only drive the problem inward. Conventional medicine never eliminates the disease of the vitality - except I suppose on those rare occassions in which the drug given is a material dose of the similimum, which might cure a very robust person.
As far as this case is concerned, Phos is needed. If your friend is taking allopathic medication already, then an LM potency might be of use. |

cmat, as regards antidoting, it depends on how long ago the other remedies were administered and whether they produced any lasting new symptoms in the patient.
If no symptoms were produced and they have stopped acting, then there's no need for antidoting. If they do need antidoting, post details. As regards LMs, see another post in which I described their use today, called: "help, there's something wrong but I don't know what" |

LM potencies are "stronger" in the sense that they are deeper-acting than a 30c.
But they were developed by Hahnemann as a potency which both is more deep acting than the low potencies and more gentle than the high centessimals. For the best information about them, see David Little's website, under the section Hahnemann's advanced methods. |
