Dear Lisa, Are you sure GM didn't mean for you to have a gulp of the whiskey? Sorry to hear about the clamities perking up your household. I had a funny thought...one of those far out suggestions...what if you put flour on her scalp and vacuumed her head, wash, and then use the kit you ordered? Perhaps the flour would dry out their membraines while the oil might just be feeding them. Love, Mselle

Lisa, the Bug Buster Kit is fantastic. I have used it twice on my elder daughter (the only one in the family who seems to be susceptible to the little blighters) and it worked brilliantly both times without any need for anything else.

To put your mind at rest a bit, the lice don't move off the head they hatch on until they are nearly full grown. This is usually around 7 days from hatching. So providing you do the combing every couple of days and make sure you get out the big beasties, there is no risk of anyone else being infested by your little ones. Also, because they can't reproduce till the full grown stage, removing the lice every few days prevents further egg laying.

Good luck with the bug busting.
Christine
PS I can't stop scratching my head now!

Hi, this is a bit off the topic, but related to home remedies for itches, just read that using cornstartch to relieve an itch due to yeast is not a good idea. Seems the yeast likes to eat the cornstartch and multiplies making the itch worse. Just thought I'd mention it as most of us seek subtitutes to talc, and often that substitute is cornstartch. Oh! this thread has me stratching like a vine swinging jungle cutie!

Hi,
Got the bug-buster kit finally...am using it, but so far, no signs of the little bugs!!

It seems to be much much better than the nasty little comb we bought from the chemist!

I'd recommend the kit to all .
Lisa (thanks so much Frank!! I didn't have to weed through so many websites once you gave the info )!

Really? GM!! Wow...I didn't realise that!!

Funny how she got sick with 'mumps' while being infested in Lice! Does anyone think there might be a connection? I just wonder if those little bugs could've made her weakened her system or something.

Lisa

Thanks mucho!!

It all makes sense - she is improving with her mumps-symptoms since the lachesis - plus NO sign AT ALL of any lice.

Progress is good. Many thanks!!!!!

Lisa
