Smile

Hello out there. I've just dioscovered this BB today and wonder if anyone can offer any assistance.
For many years I have suffered from a form of migraine which consists of mainly the aura followed occasionally by the headache.
The aura begins with a blind spot on the retina, which quickly becomes a bright light then zigzag lights. These move accross my eya from the centre to the right and after about 20 minutes out of my vision altogether. I am left with a dull ache mainly aroung the right temple and with tension at the back of my neck. I sometimes fell slight nausea and always have a sense of disoreintaion.
Usually these symptoms occur in clusters, two or three times within the period of a week and then nothing for varying periods of time.
Whilst it is happening I find it quite frightening and have never been able to overcome the fear.
Symptoms are better for sleep and/or fresh air and are almost exclusively right sided.
I have no other major health problems.
I get hayfever althouigh the older I get the milder my symptoms become. My nasal passages are often very dry in the mornings and quite often blocked on the right side.
I have no food aversions, although I crave carbohydrate, usually in the form of bread, any kind.
I am very sensitive to bright lights.
I am in my early fifties, interested in health and nutrition and take regular excersise.
I have just recently become interested in homeopathy and wonder if anything can help.

Dear Ollie,

we need a little more info about yourself, the type of person you are, what your life has been like, before giving advice.

This is the sort of headache typical to Nat-mur, Sulph, Psor, maybe Iris.

Tell us about the hardest times in your life, also what is the fear that comes up with the headaches.

Regards,

David

This is Nat Mur. Use a single dose, once only of 200c. But if treating during a migraine give Bryonia and follow with Nat Mur when it has subsided.

tHE KEYSYMPTOMES FOR SEPIA IS GIVEN,
use one dose of sepia one m, and stop all coffe, and all that contains coffe,as coca cola, sodas, pepsi, chocolate, 4 days before taking sepia, also stop taking in all kinds of acids, as vinegars.
Sepia one m, 3 pills is a dose, it works two months, take notes of all symptomes occuring that time, cause it may lead to a other remedie, or it may tell that i has overworked and need to be stopped.
You must updatte on a regular base, first after three days, you sholud have sensed somthing in that time.
Any symptomes, that last more than 48 houers, before they start to lessen may indicate wrong potence, and that adjustment of the potence is needed.
All old symptomes reocurring, show that the remedie is correct for you. All new , may tell its wrong or show a new remedie, or a intercurrent remedie.( intercurrent means that a other proble, as a cod has interfeared).

Goodness, what a lot of advice !
Thank you all so much, but I am a little confused.
djkempson:
You need more information ? Okay.
What kind of person am I ? I had a difficult childhood, good kind loving parents and a close extended family, but blighted by agarophobia and panic attacks which started when I was about twelve.
Prior to this I remember feeling anxious in crowds and strange places and I think I was a nervous child. I also suffered from clinical depression in my teens and very early twenties.
When I was 25 I married for the second time and my life seemed to fall into place. It was as if I had been waiting for this all my life. I am still married very happily to the same man.
Two sons, both completely normal pregnancies, not even any morning sickness and no blood pressure problems.
My eldest was very big and the delivery was assisted with forceps and a bit traumatic. Second son, delivery normal and uncomplicated.
I have always had a fear of losing control and I think that is what bothers me most during the migraine attacks.
Perhaps I fear a return of the panic attacks, I'm not sure.
My hardest times were all in my teens.
I found the empty nest thing a bit hard when my boys left home, but was able to talk about this and deal with it. Now I am just pleased that they are settled and happy. I am sometimes fearful for the future and find the thought of growing old disturbing. But my life is good and I am basically a happy and optimistic person
Is this all enough? Or too much?

GM;
Does any of the above change your advice ?
I'll keep you posted.

Anna;
Thanks for the input. I appreciate it.

I forgot, did you say a cold could interfere with remedy ?
I haven't had a cold for more than 3 years and don't catch them easily but I have quite a bad one at the moment. If I take the sepia should I wait until the cold has cleared up.
I can't take it for 4 days anyway as I need to get the caffeine out of my system.
The cold is mainly chesty, lots and lots of coughing and some cattarrh.

Red face

What a silly mistake
I took the sepia but I took the wrong dose.
My printer was playing up so I could not print the post and when I came to take the sepia I didn't go back online to check cause I was sure you said 200c.
So I took 200c 48 hours ago. I logged on this morning to report back and find I should have taken 1m.
I feel very very stupid.
The only significant change since taking the sepia was a much improved nights sleep a few hours after taking it and I think that may have been due to the fact that my cold is getting better. Otherwise absolutely nothing to report.
You can be sure I'll chek my posts better in the future.
What would you reccomend now?

Ollie
