My husband and I have been under the care of a homeopathy for about 19 months. He originally started working with us at the request of our marriage counselor who couldn't make any head way after a year of counselling. We started seeing results within the first three months of treatment and seemed to really make some headway around the 9th month. My husband could not express emotions, communicate feelings, seemed to be clueless as far as what he needed to do to support me and love me as a husband. He had gone through an alcohol recovery program about ten years ago and has been sober ever since, but things still seemed to continue down hill, mentally, emotionally, etc. over the years. The changes have been tremendous since we started working with our homeopath and our "marital" problems, communication problems have for the most part cleared up. During the course of his treatment he was given Lyc 1M, twice, Ignatia and Graphites (not sure if it was 200C or 1M), one time each. Thuja 1M was given around the 9th month, Nov. 1999, which really seemed to help clear his mind and open the path for him to be able to communicate. At this time he also came down with a lot of physical symptoms, chest cold, laryngitis, nasal discharge and eye infection. All symptoms he has suffered with in the past. After several weeks all symptoms disappeared except the eye infection. He was given a second dose of Thuja 1M in Jan. or Feb. of 2000. All symptoms reacurred and left after a period of several weeks again, except the eye infecton. He also started complaining about pain on the left side of his face. He had a trauma injury to that side of his face 20 years ago. Was kicked in the face while playing soccer. Had to have surgery, some bone was replaced with teflon plates. The pain has gotten a little better, but has not totally gone away. Another dose of Thuja 1M was given in May. At this point he started having a lot of yellow discharge from the left side of the nose,the discharge is foul smelling, continued pain in the face, headaches and still the eye infection (yellow discharge). He was then given Anacardium 30c in July. This helped releive the pain for about two weeks, but then the pain returned. The anacardium was given again in a 200C dose the first week of August. The pain comes and goes, the discharge from the nose and eye are still present along with the foul smell. He also has suffered from back pain for the past six years after his back was jarred on a loading dock at work. All of the mentals seem to be doing great. We had hoped to finish up with his case months ago clearing the back pain and (I forgot to mention) a few lypoma on his torso and left arm. The face pain, nose and eye discharge were not an issue when we started treatment. Does any one have an opinion on where this might have gone wrong? I was wondering if it has something to do with the three doses of Thuja. Any in put would be greatly appreciated. My husband is greatful for the help/changes homeopathy has brought so far. But he is getting worn down from the physical side effects he is suffering. Please Help! Kathi

Wrong remedies, use arnika 200, then after a week calcium carb 200, one dose, of each.

P.S. You helped with my daughter a few months back. Last dose of Sepia 1M seemed to help quite a bit. She was recently married (other post "nervous groom") was her new husband. She seems to have settled down and groom made it through the ceremony just fine. Thanks again !!!

I agree with GM arnica will help greatly with past injury never well since. had a great healing take place with a woman injured 20 yrs ago in a skiing accident her shin bones were damaged. for 20 yrs she had extreme pain, tryd all types of conventional painkillers. ( she is a allopatic doctor ) her pains were so bad at night she lost sleep. only one dose of arnica 200c helped the following day. A year later return of symptoms I gave her arnica 1M one dose. thats it amazing!!!!!!!no more pain.

Just wanted to check in and up date you. My husband took the arnica 200C Wednesday night. Thursday morning he reported that he had some pretty bizzare dreams.When I asked him what he meant by bizzare all he would tell me was that they were strange and scary. Thursday evening he said that the pain in his back was feeling a bit better. This morning he tells me that the pain below and above the left eye has worsened and that while he was making breakfast he started suffering pain in his lower back (middle to left side). Very sharp pain, but within a few minutes had become a dull ache. Said that he hasn't had the pain so strong in quite a few years. All pains have been suffered in the past. I know he is concerned that this might continue for several weeks. Seems that in the past other remedies have brought back previous symptoms and his body struggles with them for weeks. I can tell he is getting run down by this mentally. Can I reassure him that it sounds like we're on the right track? Thanks, Kathi.

I agree with GM. If he is still suffering like this then he hasn't got the remedy he needs. Arnica is a good idea. Maybe also Carbo-veg - for when somebody's health has been low ever since a shock or accident ( or homeopathic treatment! Homoeopathy can be powerful stuff and is esp hard for sensitive people) He should not be getting run down mentally. When a remedy works, even if the physical symptoms worsen the person should feel stronger in himself to deal with them. Perhaps a complementary remedy to clear the case. Which remedy worked best for him?

it works, so just wait, it may be needed with a higher potence..later..or a other remedie, as calc c since that use to follow arnika.
The suggestions about interfearing with a other remedie, dont deserve an answer.

Checking in. As per your original response, GM, I have the calc carb 200C. Should my husband take this now (1 week after arnica 200C) or should we wait? He reports today that the pain above and below the eye has improved as of yesterday. His back pain also has improved since the sudden escalation of pain last week. The discharge is still there. Seemed to flow more yesterday (easier to blow his nose). The odor is also still present. Discharge from the eye is still there, but has slowed down. Let me know if we should move ahead with calc carb or sit back and wait. Thank you. Kathi

Wait till arnika is done with its job, can take 40 days, and also req a new dose in a higher potence, before cc.
