Question

Hi - just a question...

I met a woman today who gave birth two months ago. This is her second child. Anyhow, she is suffering from painful piles since the delivery. This happened with both babies - and after the 1st baby - the piles only went away after 6 months.

This time - it's now been two months - she also has a fissure, in addition to the piles - and some bleeding - and pain.

Is this something that could be treated as an acute? Or would it need more comprehensive (chronic) treatment?

Any comments welcome.
Thanks..Lisa

P.S. She is seriously considering surgery - and I asked her if since she was asking me, if she would be willing to put the surgery off, until I could get some info for her.

She said yes!

Wink

Calc phos is usually the remedyi, and this, is a chiropractic sign too, so i advice a chiropractic, or osteopathic checkout, adjustments, cause if piles, after this, its only normal to last 3 months, with that kind of trouble, its due to the lossenign of the ileosacral are, in order to make room for the babys birht, this is to go back to normal after max 3 months, if not, ther is a disalocation, and a hormonal cause, so both homeopathy, as the supreme treatment, and a addative of chior/osteophaty is needed.
And, the case is to be thourgh gone through, in order to find the correct remedie, its often calc phos, but can be many ohters.

Lisa007 - Pardon me for jumping in here, but this may be helpful. I'll defer to GM if he thinks otherwise. I think the Calc Phos excellent too - for the overall aftereffects & need to rebuild. Below is directed to the piles condition you described so "painfully". Fissure. Operation. Ouch!

Not sure which country you're in, but in UK Nelson's make a haemorrhoid cream that is very effective & gives rapid pain relief - consists of

Aesculus, Calendula, Hamamelis, Paeonia

If in the States, you may find Boiron has similar.

Internally:

a compound remedy of...
Arnica, Hamamelis, Aesculus, Nux Vom

if 6-12c = 2 hrly on first das then 5 times day for a week or until improvement begins (in which case cease & observe)

if 30c (tops) = 3 times a day for 3 days or until... etc...

I've used the above many times with success.

very best

Thanks findcure, I appreciate your trying to help.

That you've had to use this many times (I take it on yourself..if so...) is indicative that you haven't actually cured the problem, and I KNOW it can be cured if treated properly - rather than just palliated (cure is more what I'm aiming for).

Anyhow, if you meant that this was for various people and IT CURED - then that is different, although I'm a bit weary of using so many remedies together, without a lot of prescribing experience. But, thanks for your thoughts, anyway.

Lisa...

"if you meant that this was for various people and IT CURED - then that is different"

Exactly as above. What is meant by cure here? The woman you decribed has (afaik) an acute condition - not a chronic problem - brought on by strain of birthing.

I wouldn't suggest the remedy group for chronic. That definitely needs contitutional attention, and more expert attention than I can offer.

I realise this forum is focused on the single-remedy approach, and apologise if my suggestion offends.

No, findcure, you didn't offend me - I just don't agree with multiple remedies - as one can never know which remedy actually worked -and it a complementary remedy is needed - then it would be a bit confusing...etc...

Anyhow, thanks for your suggestions.

Cool

GM, I told this lady about the accupressure point that you showed me - and she called me today and said the pain is 90% gone...only a twinge now!!

I suggested that she go and see a chiro as you said, and report back if there is no further improvement from there. She was so grateful and appreciative (she's suffered 2 months of constant pain and bleeding now ) and thought I should pass this on to you.

So, again - thank you for your kind help.
Lisa
