Hi there,
I'm writing for my daughter who is 22 yrs old and got ill last night. Everything could be just ok, it is probably a virus infection, but as she has on Friday morning the most important exam in this year I thought if anyone could give some advice to help her to cure fast.
She is working at evenings and last night she said that she felt very tired and thought that she only was tired, but when driving home she realised she had fever and felt dizzyness. Arready at work she felt pain in back which extended to legs. Her fever is 38.5 celsius degrees. Her tonsils are like small balls (both sides). This is very typical for her when she gets some severe flu. She is very restless, turning around the bed and groaning and moaning all the time. She seems to be quite thirsty and wants cold pack on her forehead.
Normally she is very independent living alone, but now very early in the morning she came home to us and is every 15 minutes asking something, water, change of that wrap on her head, new skirt or whatever. She feels quite hot, but her skin is not very hot. No chilliness. Pain mostly under part of the body - lower back and legs and then also head. Also some pain in throat. She is not very red of the face, maybe a little.
Sorry to disturb you with this kind of "normal" disease, but this week should have been the most important of the whole year and if this does not succeed she may have to do everything anew next year. I do not think this to be anything depending on excitement, though.

Hi, and many thanks. We've followed your advice and everything has gone as you said. This morning she is having pain also in upper limbs and the throat is so swollen that she doesn't want to talk but she has been hungry already which she wasn't yesterday and she is reading at least the morning paper. I hope everything will go on as you said. Could you tell why that sulphur first? I'm not an expert in homeopathy but know something and this was somewhat new to me. Anyhow we really appreciate your help. Thanks again.

Thumbs up

From my understanding, the Sulphur opens things up...unblocks...but I always defer to the experts on here....

glad to hear she is progressing...hang in there...we did the Tub (as it was indicated for us too) and it worked like a charm...

Thanks Lisa. I always admire your beautiful way of expressing yourself and kind words. As English is a foreign language for me I'm always afraid of expressing myself somehow undfriendly or abrubtly. I think these language problems have caused so many unnecessary debates here.
My daughter is now sleeping quite peacefully. She has been complaining her throat and asked me to give her something to reduce the swelling of the tonsils but we'll stick to tub still.

If people are so prejudiced, and nationalistic, that they cant, or wont understand that English is not the BB users native langueage, and there by, upon that misjudgement ,( or upon typos) start a argument, un-neded, or a harassment, as i have seen over the last 18 months, thats their problem.
I dont care, can not, cause i can not get to utilize, or learn English as well as one who is born with the language, cause its the worlds biggest, it has 1,5335 mill words to take of. My own language has only 65000 words..so..understand he who can..
Fear not the judment of the common pack..

Cool

Thanks HLP, I have to say, that was very nice to hear...nice to feel appreciated.

I think it is best to just wait out the TUB...as it will act and bring things out. It did with us. My children were very sickly with colds and coughing from it..as was I too. Also, while each of us had these 'cold' symptoms, we also had very different types of 'cold' symptoms...so it just shows how each person is an individual.

This remedy will make her feel better in the long run, and feel stronger! (I was amazed at how much better I felt after about a week or so).

Take care,
Lisa

Question

Hello GM,

maybe I'm just an anxious mother but if you are on the line I'd like to tell the symptoms now so you can say your opinion. The fever has been all the day gone, but now there is a very little rise (no fever). My daughter is complaining her neck all the time. She says it is as if tired and painful and that causes headpain. There is some tension in the neck. The glands of the external throat are very painful, especially on the left side. She also says she feels somewhat dizzy. Aching also in the knees and shoulders and allover. She is pale and the area under eyes is quite dark. She has done some studying but don't feel capable yet. She has been eating very well as she has felt it is good for the throat. Especially she has wanted spicy tomato soup and ice cream.
I'm worried about that neck. Definitely she is much better than yesterday, but should I worry or not?

Wink

Hi HLP,

Please don't worry. This sounds normal (GM will confirm or say his professional opinion, of course!)..but I just want to try to reassure you while you wait for him to reply.

We suffered some aggravations (similar to your daughter) for some days. Most things passed within 48 hours...others changed within 48 hours and were improving by then. About 1 week later, we still had some symptoms coming out - but overall we felt more energy. Please don't worry...just keep posting the symptoms as they come out and GM will advise you on it.

Hope this helps a little

Take care,
Lisa

PS...don't give any aspirin, paracetamol or things like that unless you ask first...don't want to mess up the remedy, okay.

Thank you so much Lisa. You'll be a great homeopath one day. It's always more difficult to look your own child to suffer than if it was yourself...at least I feel so. I'll try to calm down.
