I have chronic diarrhea for three months now (in the morning only). Flatulence starts at the moment when I open my eyes in the morning. Stool is loose or diarrhea. Bowel feels nervous, like butterflies. I am petite (50 kilos), rather nervous after tragic loss of my parents, worry a lot, used to suffer from panic attacks, hyperventilation syndrom, heart palpitations. Could anybody please give me a hint in the right direction regarding a remedy?

I would suggest taking one dose of Ignatia 200c, and wait for two weeks. If no improvement would definitely look at Nat Mur 1M.

Please could you say why you are suggesting these remedies. There are 109 remedies for diarrhoea morning of which Ignatia is not one of them!

Please post more details Ida.
Eg. do you get pain- describe pain- where do you get it. What makes it better/ worse?
Did it start after loss of your parents?
What is stool like? Any blood or mucus?
Have you had any tests done?

Ricky - I would think Mom of 2 suggested ignatia because of bereavement ???

If your diarrhoea is after grief think of Acid phos
Otherwise it is Aloes with intercurrent Sulpher.

More details (hopefully relevant): I have no pain with the diarrhea. Only flatulence when I wake up. Lately I have a piercing pain under the left rib cage. The diarrhea started 1.5 years ago. Antibiotics did only help temporarily. Then cuprum 30C worked fine for half a year (no diarrhea) but my skin got worse. Still does not heal too well. Then the diarrhea came back. Stool is braun colour. Not very offensive. Lately I got very sore red 'pimples' on the back of my neck along my hair-line (only clear liquid comes out; make yellow crusts; heal very badly; leave scars). No cramps with the diarrhea. Stress and getting up early seem to make it worse (I hate mornings). Cold or warm food or different food does not make any difference. I love warmth (always next to a heater or in a warm country).
To my personality: I fear people, don't like to be around people, don't like to be touched by people who I don't know, I am scared of being trapped (physically and metaphorically; also claustrophobic), have a tendency to run away and change my whereabouts often (move countries, move house, change partners).
My nails are brittle, I have fair skin, freckles, my lower lip is dry and cracks constantly, I used to have cracks in the corner of my mouth all the time (not any more), after my parents died I got heart palpitations (feeling as if heart stops for a moment and then beats strongly again).
That is all I can come up with at the moment. Thank you all for taking the time.

Sorry, Hoppitt415, I think you wanted to know a bit more:
No blood, no mucus, diarrhea did not start after loss of my parents (that is now a while ago), there was no real triggering event. I had plenty of tests (stool samples were all negative - however, were taken AFTER treatment with antibiotics). My GP thinks I had a Giardia infection which resulted in IBS. I had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Both showed nothing. Everything fine.

Thanks Hopitt. I will give it a go after my exams (in the meantime I will have to rely on Imodium). Sorry to hear that you suffer from the same problem. I will report any success or failure (regarding the remedy that is).
