Hypericum covers pains which have sharp chracter and travel along the nerve. Where pains are more sore bruised and there is injury to deep tissue have a look at Ruta. Sweeling remaining long after injury with no bruising will often respond to Bellis, which is also useful in deep tissue injury pain. Sorry to give you more to choose from but there is not enough information to work with.

Mom describes her pain as an ACHE that occurs on top of her foot, mostly just above the fourth toe while walking and then for sometime afterwards. No shooting pain up leg, or of sharp quality.

Last night she said after coming home after walking around the store, it ached quite bad and foot was quite puffy,so she put some of the 1x Arnica gel on it and that seemed to relieve the pain and reduce the swelling.

Never had a lot of bruising, only some.

Residual on previous ankle injury described as a 'tenderness' if apply pressure only, not when walking.

And give with Arnica or no?
The toe problem is the more acute symptom at present.

12 twice a day, complement after arn.

Okay, will do that too. For how many days on Calc. phos.?

She has never actually taken a remedy of Arnica though. Only used the 1x Arnica gel a couple times a day. I did find a local supply of Arnica 30c but have not purchased yet.

Zymst, the old injury and nature of pain indicate Arnica then Calcarea phosphoricum. Suggest GM may feel Arnica still be useful. Give 30c twice a day for two days then follow with Calc-p 12x daily until pain subsides.
