If Rhus is indicated it will cure.
Not too much repetition.

Comments like Rhus suppress etc are wrong.

Only thing is it should be similimum,as in case of every other remedy.

Thanks.

Ricky , he is very tearful right now and attention seems to sort it out. yes there is a cough and his nose is a little runny - mucus watery and clear. He could be drinking more than hi is too....

Pannakkal, what exaclty is too much repetieition? I have only given him rhus tox 30 so far, about twice a day since Saturday (trying not to repeat it too much).

Elliot seems to have been more tearful than itchy over the last 24 hours. He is not saying his spots itch.

Looking at advice here and my sons symptoms I think seems like pulsatilla, I will give him some pulsatilla now,

Hope this is the right thing to do.

Thanks
Janyce

Gave him pulsatilla 6 this morning.

He seems to have responded to it well

He has still been very clingy today and his temperature has been up and down. I have repeated the dose 3 times during the day - the last time just before he went to bed.

He has not been drinking as much as he usually does, his urine has been quite dark yellow and smelt quite strong. he has eaten lots of friut, a little pasta, but has alsio complained that his mouth hurts him. he did manage to eat some kids sweets (composed mostlt of sugar, colour and citric acid I expect )

I have also been adding oats to his bathwater as I have been told this can help with itching, he is not itching. Very messy to clean up

His spots do not look quite so red, but still seem to be forming. HIs main complaint today is that he can't walk. He has had to be carried today as there are spots on the balls of his feet. This evening when he was a little better, he started crawling around the house and also stared walking with all his weight on his heel, balls of his foot off the ground. he was very pleased with himself to have discovered he could walk like this.

Just concerned I am not repeating the pulsatilla too often, and still giving the right remedy.

if Rhus is the remedy ,one or 2 dose of it is enough for the first stage.ie vesicilar.

More the Rhus you give more the eruption and it is the medicinal eruption not the disease.

Herpes zoster and chicken had common origin-from varicella virus.Usually you will get life long immunity for both if one of it is affected.

Above(herpes) seen in patients undergoing chemotherapy in severe form ,probably due to immune deficiency.

so hasty changing of medicines is not necessary ,as it is very easy to handle with our system of medicine without any complication. If you are sure about one remedy stick on it until some new symptoms are appeared.

thank you

You have given enough Rhus Tox!! What colour are the eruptions. Is there is bluish tinge to them? Is the itching worse or better from the warm bath. Quite honestly the didease is just running its course. The itching is the worst thing and I think we've stopped that with the Rhus. Tox. If you still think he needs Puls. get some 30. I think you can get it at Boots. If not try a health food shop. Where about do you live?

Hi,
I am not a homeopath but just a mother who has been through the same thing - . the oats shouldn't be messy - you need to put them in a sock or stocking and dangle them in the water rather than put the oats straight into the water - this is less messy - but if there is no longer itching then the spots might scab over and fall of quicker without oats.

I didn't treat my two children as they seem to be coping with it by themselves.

Hope he is better soon.

Linda

Hi, thanks for the replys. I think my frantic-ness is due to the fact we are supposed to be on holiday - perhaps I need a remedy ... although feeling much better after a spot of retail therapy yesterday when I abandoned my sick child to his grandmother :P

Linda - indeed, the pox is running its course. He does not seem to be having any more eruptions. He has been a lot better yesterday after a dreadful night the night before. He has just woken very hot and uncomfotable but settled again after puls6.

And yes, someone did mention putting the oats in something - not thinking

Ricky, I am currently in Durham visiting parents, but I live in Milton Keynes.
