My husband is 6 foot tall and weighs 6 and a half stone. He is obviously under weight but he does eat. His weight makes him very unhappy. I was thinking of asking my homeopath to see him, do you think she can help???

Cool

Yes, have him make an appointment with a homeopath.
It's the right constitutional remedy that will be the help.

Does he eat a lot? Is he always hungry? Is he a hot person? Has he been checked out by his Doctor that there is no underlying problem?

He eats a fair amount, although, he can't stomach breakfast and doesn't eat the right things. He has had all manner of tests and there seems nothing wrong. He is going for more blood tests on Tuesday as I went to see a chinese doctor who said the problem could be his spleen so this is getting checked. He is also booked in to see a dietician in September.
Generally he is a cold person and he's not hungry all the time, quite the opposite. I personally think it is stress related, as when he is stressed (frequently!!!) he can't eat. I also think he has irritable bowel, which I know, if you don't eat little and often you're in trouble but he doesn't listen to me!!
Thanks

Over Active Thyroid is one possibility

Aluminium susceptibility is another
( toxins keep weight down and cause IBS symptoms )

Thanks Pat, I will check that the GP has tested for this. Are there any supplements that you know of that could help?

Depends on what the cause is

What family history is there ?????

Sometimes Homeopathic Phosphorous is indicated

"outgrown their strength " certainly made a huge difference to my son in law

But before you take anything a full history and full personality/ symptom picture needs describing

Pat, I have just realised I have put 6 half stone as apposed to 9 half!!!
Anyway, his mum is very slender but small framed and his father, last time we saw him, is a very heavy man so he obviously takes after his mum. Apparently he is healthy. I have asked a million and one different people about this and they all say that it is healthier to be under weight and fit and I shouldn't worry. I don't but he does. A lot of people have said that as he gets older he will put on weight, he is 31 in a week and no sign yet!!!
There are no real medical problems in the family, only irritable bowel, which he seems to have inherited. I have tried him on meal supplements, supplements from Holland & Barrets. His is basically hyper, when he has eaten a meal he will jump straight up and clear away and never sits still, whereas I have to let my food go down. He does smoke dope and has done for years and I know this won't help so he's thinking about trying to give that and the ciggies up, but that is another problem.
I think I have thought of everything. Like I say, a real problem. We have been together for 8 years and it has taken me this long to try and solve the problem and i'm still trying in vain to find an answer, it's starting to irritate me!!!
By the way, what does 'outgrown there strength' mean?

Has he always been thin? If so don't worry about his weight as it is natural to him. I am so pleased you corrected the weight as I was having difficulty imagining a 6 footer who only weighed 6 1/2 stone!!
The dope will not help at all. I have patients who can't believe how much better they are in everyway since stopping the dope!!
