My sister has had a persistant ear infection for three weeks. The infection seems to lessen with anti-biotics but the ear remains blocked and she can't hear well with it at all. She is up to her third lot of anti-biotics and has also been prescribed voltarin (anti-inflamitory). The pain is stabbing and pressured and sometimes unbearable making her miserable.

Its her right ear. The skin is sometimes sore around it. It is worse at night and in the morning but feels better after being up for a while.

Because she had a bone marrow transplant last year she is going to be sent to an ENT specialist if it isn't clear by the end of the week, I am hoping that we can clear it or at least have it much improved by then to avoid that happening.

Thanks again
Cindy

Chiropractic has been proven to clear ear infections. Have her see a chiropractor ASAP.

If there is something physical preventing proper drainage, all the antibiotics in the world won't help. Must get everything back into alignment.

Sorry to interrupt this thread but if a person had those exact symtoms and also had knee replacement..would silica be a problem for the knees.

Question

Thanks for your responses.

GM, in the MM is says that silicea must be used with care in cases of phthisis as it can cause the disease to come back. Would it be safe to use in the case of Myelo-displastic syndrome? I don't want to cause that disease to return when my intention is to fix her ear! can you please advise before i give her the dose. I have it here but feel a bit unsure.

Thanks alot
Cindy

If you fear, well dont use it, and its to be prescribed after the whole picture, and not after the mm..use belladonna instead. but supressing, is not advisable either, if tha cause is not dealt with, it will all reaturn with a vengeance. No matter what you do.If you dont feel competent to handle this, let another do it.
