St. Claire, don't worry about veg and fruits interfering with her breastmilk absorption. Grains will interfere, however, so DO AVOID those!
I had one of those "snackers", too. (Second child, too) Glad I wasn't working then. Good thing Grandma is taking care of her. ![]() About nipple choice, they have done X-rays, etc. and discovered that the standard, old-fashioned nipple most similates the breast in the baby's mouth. (Yes, we were all surprised.) I think goat's milk is best. Boiling for ten seconds wouldn't be a bad idea. Since she isn't getting a lot, and it appears to agree with her, don't worry. You know, there have been no studies to confirm that formula is better than cow's milk. Seems to me the kids are getting sicker the more "advanced" the formula is becoming. |

I tend to agree about the formula, i'm concerned with all of the additives and synthetic vitamins..also soy is very hard to digest. It is surprisingly one of the most common food to be allergic to.
I gave my son soy formula for the same reason i'm now giving goatsmilk, though then i worked much more, so he got a substantial amount I will start boiling the milk for 10 seconds, that sounds like a good idea, and i won't worry so much since i work so little ![]() |
