Question

any experiences treeting whiplash-syndrom ?
I had success once with ARNika, a young guy got free of 2 years pain, but in the meantime I have tried with 2 other clients without success.

I would appreciate any commentaries.

regards..........

Did you refer the 2 cases to be checked by osteopath? If physical maintaining cause gets in the way. See Close's 'sphere of homeopathy'in his 'Genius of Homeopathy' book.

Had a case where apparently indicated remedies failed until osteo manipulation corrected back. Phos was then indicated and helped enormously.

Hej Frank !

thanks for your answer.
yes this 2 people are from my work and they are checked as much as the danish health system can check.
So there should be no bones in the way, that would the x-rays show.

Generally it is a problem with whiplash to get recognition for pain as the dammage does not show in the systems diagnosis-apparature.
The problem is usually soft-tissue dammage and a fixation of the traumatic event as far as I know.

thank you for the book-advice.

regards........

Hej Gary !

Thanks for the note.

Yes I have tried rhus.tox and ruta.
mostly people with whiplash are >by rest, not by motion, which rules out rhus.tox.
ruta I tried twice, as far as I remember, and it did not make any improvement.
nevertheless, keeping possible antidoting in mind, ruta is one of the remedies I will try again.
do you have any experience treating whiplash, that has been giving pain for years?

regards

Cool

If Arnica doesn't work, consider Hypericum - especially where there is nerve pain, and also Cocculus.

hej Anna !

thank you for your answer.

I have not considered or tried Cocculus. thank you for that inspiration.

Hypericum I have considered (and tried once), but I have not seen in whiplash-patients the sudden, lancerating pain that is typical for nerve-pain, though I know that pain from problems after overlifting or pain after many years of heavy work.
So I never really believed in Hypericum for whiplash-patients.
Do you have any experience with hypericum for long time pain after whiplash ?

regards

Hej everyone !

I have been reading the thread on ARNika too and out of GM replies I get the idea, that I might use too high potencies (LM6 and with ARNika C200) and that 1 dose is not enough.

whiplash is after all a acut trouble, that as other acutes "eats" the remedy-power fast.

It might be a good idea to use low potencies much more often.

hmmmm....

(oooops...
here came GM, nearly synchronic...)

Dear GM !

Thank you for the inspiration.
All of it sounding very interesting, especially lachesis is a thought-chain-sparking inspiration.

I will try with it and have a constitutional look at the other ones.

regards
