A 14 yr. old female{now 32 yrs. old} suddenly developed severe urticaria, ave. size of ind. hives 1 inch in diameter, literally covering body from feet to uppermost parts of body. These occurred daily for a week or maybe a few days longer. Three times during this period, she was rushed to E.R. when condition worsened, showing signs of anaphylactic shock-her face would show assymetrical severe dropsical swellings,i.e., one eye, eyelids would be severely swollen, not always the other eye,but various swellings, but Always with extreme swelling of lips and tongue,with increasing difficulty in breathing, aggravated by heat. E,R. personnel would quickly give an injection of epinephrine and swellings woud go down, breathing returned to relative state of normalcy {but always temporary relief of symptoms}. given one dose of Apis 6x.- within 1, 2 hrs. hives begn to dissapear ; 24 hrs. later no signs of urticaria. no more severe allergic reactions since that time to date.
