Looking for Terminalia Chebula in 6x potency (widely used in India I believe) and Elaps Corr in 200x potency - can anyone suggest a reputable pharmacy here in the UK that may have these ?

Took your advice - ordered from them yesterday and the remedies just arrived, only 15 hours after ordering !! I asked one of the very helpful staff if I could speak to the owner and I was put straight through ! How refreshing !! We discussed homeopathy in general for quite a while and I was very impressed

The odd thing is that a friend told me to try Ainsworths and Helios, but neither had ever heard of Terminalia (they actually told me that it was not available in potency, and could not be made in a 6x anyway - which is odd, I mean how did they know this if they had just told me that they had never heard of it !) and Helios were particularly rude about my requirements for 200x potencies. Apparently no-one uses such a potency, it is not available in the UK and they only make up to 12x anyway !

So, Morag and Lisa, I thank you for your recommendation and I will be sticking to Freeman's in future

That is EXACTLY what happened when I phoned Helios!!!!!!! I'm not kidding - they were just downright snotty and snarky about the X potencies - even went so far as to say that NO ONE uses them in Europe (are they ill informed or what? perhaps UK - but not necessarily the rest of Europe!).

I couldn't even get through to Ainsworth - and several emails went unanswered - it was only in emailing Freeman's that I found a decent company to help me get the rem's I needed - and I too, spoke with Dr. Kayne (by email) and he was most pleasant, helpful and obivously interested in Homeopathy beyond just selling a few remedies to make a buck!

So, I'm pleased that others are trying them - I want to support those who help their customers in return - and deal fairly in their business practise.

Oh - and it's also nice that they don't make you feel they have a superiority complex when you make a query!!!!!

I wanted to say that I have never had anything but polite and efficent service from Helios over the last six years. I have found they carry 95% of the remedies I have requested. I find them both helpful and friendly and was surprised to read otherwise.

Hey Frank - that is wonderful for you...but I ordered over 450 POUNDS STERLING worth of remedies (in total over a 4 week period...in two lots)...and the "service" I got was cr*p!

When I rang to enquire about the wrong potency that they sent to me in one of the remedies (because they ASSUMED I couldn't possibly want anything in X! - and it was over 12..which they don't supply anything over 12x, as you know) they were snotty and rude...put me on hold (for a long time!) - knowing full well that I was calling from overseas.

(Also, when I originally sent my first order [which was small - under ten bottles] - I specified X for all potencies (which were 12, 30, 200!)..instead of telling me that they couldn't provide in X (30 and above) they just sent 3x...how stupid - but then you probably know the saying....NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING cuz you make an ASS out of U and ME!).

Back to that large order though - after about 5-6 minutes on hold (and that is a looooong time to wait!)- a lady came on and said she wasn't responsible for my shipment and the one who was - was busy...I pushed a bit - explaining that I didn't fancy being put on hold sooooo darn long JUST to then be told that the lady that was responsible for my order/shipment was 'busy' - couldn't I speak to anyone who could help me...rather than asking ME to phone back about THEIR error!. Anyhow - she passed me onto someone else (BUT, I had to hold this time about 2 1/2 minutes!) and this new person was incredibly snotty....saying NO ONE uses X potencies - inferring that I didn't know anything....

I explained that I was training (it's not like I made out that I was qualified!!!!). Anyhow, I also explained that I was advised to start out with the X potencies - as they are safer, and more reliable to deal with for a beginner. Easier to know what the rem's would do (this advice from GM). She had NO GRACE - NO PATIENCE - and then when I received my last shipment(of the two lots!) I recieved all tablets (huge chunks - NOT what I wanted at all and CERTAINLY NOT what I ordered)...and they didn't give a stuff.

So, if you see my posting this - it is on account of my dealings with them - 4 orders in total (over 4 or 5 month period)...and it's not like I didn't give a second chance, either. (might I add...a lot of money too!) and now stuck with TABLETS...not what I wanted!

Anyhow, I applaud Freeman's and will continue to do so - as they have been STERLING...and you can see from other's posts - they're having the same experience.

I hope you continue to get good service from Helios - but if they begin to slide down that arrogant slope that I saw in the RAW - just remember Freeman's as a reliable alternative.

Freeman's terms are 10% disc for ANY healthcare professional (not only registered homeopaths) which is a good approach to encourage those new to homeopathy like myself. And since they do not charge for post and packing, it is a pretty good deal.

Not sure if they have a student discount policy, but they seem to be very approachable and might operate this on an indiviual basis.

At the end of the day, you go with your own experience....

I have to agree with Frank about Helios. I order and invariably receive the remedy the next day. A couple of years back I received 2 lots of the same but wasn't charged for them. I always stipulate that I want pillules or the medicating potency and get 15% discount because I am a professional homeopath.
