Smile osteo arthritis

I am, a male age 61 married with 5 grown up children, suffering from stiffness of the knee joint and pain in the adjoining area, more on the left side than on the right. It started some 8 years ago when accidently while crossing the road suddenly got a jerk in the right leg. Within seconds there was a swelling around the right knee with severe pain. Drove home with great difficulty. Myself a homoeopath took Aconite 30 in repeated dose after reaching home. Pain relieved and swelling subsided within few hours. But then I found that upon climbing the stairs there is a sharp penetrating pain as if radiating from a point below the right knee joint. Because I had to travel abroad I consulted allopathic doctor they took xrays and diagnosed osteo arthiritis and prescribed some NSAID. But to no relief. I proceeded abroad and discontinued the treatment. I had to live in a country for 4/5 months where no homoeopathic medicine was available so I prefered to live with the problem as it was not disturbing my life and problem was only upon going upstairs.

When I came back home problem aggrevated and I developed pain in the left knee as well and very soon there was occasional locking of both the knees, morning stiffness and numbness of the finger joints. On the advice of family and friends I consulted number of Allopaths one after the other and as the case is got temporary relief from several NSAIDs and pain killer. Found Ponstan (mefanamic Acid) 500 mg a single dose giving relief for several days. During this period (about one year)I lost 2 of my healthy teeth by loosening of the gums.

Then I switched on to my homoeopathy and took remedies accdording to symptoms but have not been succesful in getting total relief. I tried Causticum, Bryonia and sometime Belladona effectively. As a result my right leg is perfectly alright and there in no locking in both the knees since 3 years. What ever teeth are left they are firm. I finally found sulphur and Baryta Mur effective but there is still pain and stiffness of muscles of the left knee and I occasionally get pain in the right leg as well not in the knees. I have also very old problem of salivation when sleeping on the left side. Tried Baryta Carb and Mercurius but no relif

I have noticed a pecuilar symptom since the last one and half year that when I perspire it is more on the left temple than on the right temple. Sometime there is profuse sweating on the left temple and right one is dry. There is lot itching all over the body upon changing the dress and taking bath more around the belly, burrows like scratch marks are found after scratching. A homoeopath is seeking help from leaned homoeopaths

hello,
Your complaint started after sudden sprain. The OA may be there before this event.OA is formed by very slow process and not with in a day
At the begining of complaints remedies like Acon,Rhus tox,Ruta come. There may be a chance of ligamental tear also
I understood that you are far improved from the begining of the complaints. So you can take the bebnefitted remedy in higher potencies.
Please read calc flour, Puls etc
