I have completed the general questionnaire below. Any help advice be gratefully received. Age: 38 Height: 5'4" Weight: 13st Sex: Female CHIEF COMPLAINT: Excess sweating all over - especially head, face and neck area, though has now spread to all over. At night I tend to sweat a lot and soak my pillows - no feelings of low blood glucose levels, no diabetes. The condition is made worse when in social / public situations when I also develop a red blotchy 'rash' on my neck and face. Im sure the fear of sweating makes me sweat more. Deodarant under my arms controls that area and I have tried to use driclor type stuff in the past but you have to be bone dry for it to be effective - this is difficult when you sweat! I tend to be quite hot most of the time but do feel the cold at times. I can even sweat when I am outside in the snow. When did it begin - Ive always been a bit sweaty and red in the face but it has become really bad over the last 10 years or so. What helps - moving air - even having a fan on me in really hot weather blowing warmish air helps. MENTAL/EMOTIONAL I worry about money / work etc - recently returned to full time education, so there are some money worries, so have to work a lot and get little time off. I tend to try and just push my worries down, dont really discuss then with people. I cry very easily (even at happy events) To make myself feel better I either have a bath or something to eat. I tend not to get too angry now - used to be quite hot tempered but tend to walk away from situations and let things just wash over me. I can be impatient and have a lack of tolerance for people who are lazy / incompetent / rude. I work with vulnerable people - this is a job I really enjoy and the training is linked to that. FOOD I often go for long periods during the day without eating (missing breakfast and lunch when busy). Usually this doesnt affect me too much, but I can start to feel tired late in the afternoon. I like to eat sweet foods. Sometimes I have a bad reaction to eating meat (vommitting and diarrhoea - this can be when I have eaten the same food as others without them getting any symptoms). I drink quite a lot of water during the day (1 litre), plus several cups of low calorie hot chocolate (very hot temperature). Fluid intake is always minimum 2 litres per day. No tea or coffee. Rarely drink alcohol SLEEP I sleep easily and go into a deep sleep, though I wake up to go to the toilet during the night. I do snore sometimes, clench my teeth sometimes and drool a lot. Occassionally I have disrupted sleep (wake up during the night and cant get back to sleep) - when thingsa re playing on my mind but this does not happen often. I sleep on my side. WOMEN Never been pregnant. Menses began approx age 13yrs. Regular periods at first but started becoming very heavy a number of years ago - use oral contraception to control this. No PMS that I am aware of (though use to have mood swings and become very emotional during late teens ./ early twenties) HEALTH HISTORY Currently take Dianette (oral contraceptive and to control excess facial hair, though quite hairy all over) Inhalers for asthma but this is well controlled - no attack for at least 20 years. Regular migraines / headaches - use paracetamol / Migraleve / Syndol Gallbladder removed in 2003 Rarely get colds - when I do they last about a day Main illness is sickness / diarrhoea SENSITIVITY My skin is quite sensitive (never used to be). Have a reaction to anaesthesia - feel ill afterwards and very low in mood No other known alergies Please feel free to ask me any other information you might need to know. Thank you |

Hi Hani
Thanks for the reply. In answer to yur questions: How's your bowel evacuation ? It varies greatly from diarrhoea to constipation - possibly slight IBS? Does sweating focus more on ceratin side of ur body ? Right ? Left ? I think I sweat on both sides. If I had to say one side more than the other I would say more on the right side What do you think about Men , marriage ? I would love to be in a relationship and get married. I have found I am getting more and more fussy and wont settle for someone that I find faults in. How's your sex desire...low,average,above average or high I would say my sex drive has been low over the last few years Thanks |

Dear Rainbow,
Still recommends Pulsatilla for you...I hope you will give it a try ,for further confirmation I would like to know : 1- When your mood is down, where in your house you like to stay mostly ? 2- What are your favourite places for hanging-out ? 3- How was the sex drive before the last-few years ? in the teenage and above ? 4- In a relationship, Can you tell only two main things which may have a bad influence on it ? Best Wishes, Hani Pharmacist,M.D(A.M), Homeopath(studying) |
