Question

Hi! My daughter finally took my advice and enlisted GM's help. He prescribed a remedy, sulpher 200c, which she took Monday evening, May 29. The next day she was actually less agitated, however, later on that evening she complained of a very bad breath/taste in her mouth. Today, she has a sight fever and symptoms of a bad flu. Her body aches, and her nose is very stuffed up.

Today I got a chance to look at my e-mail and discovered that GM is unavailable for one week.

My daughter needs reassurance, she suffers from ocd and other anxieties. GM is going to help her, however, could you be so kind as to advise us while GM is away. Am I right in telling her that her symptoms are a normal reaction. I told her not to take any medicine. However, can she have extra water and tea? How long would such symptoms be permitted to last before one would think that she is having a proving instead of an aggravation. I think 48 hours, but what if it goes over? Is the timing always precise or are there variations?

I consider her taking homeopathy seriously a major step forward in her life. It would be a pity if she got scared off because I was unable to reassure her and answer her questions. Thank you so much. Love, Mselle

Hi D!

Please tell her that she is merely having aggro.

I also took Sulphur 200 and also experienced symptoms. When they came on - they generally lasted for 48 hours or even a bit longer. But the thing I noticed was that they changed...so the cold I had was nasty for two or three days, but then began to lessen...and then eventually went away.

I HAVE NOT HAD ONE COLD SINCE! Also, there ahve been nasty flu's and colds lingering around here in the past few weeks -and I didn't catch ANYTHING, which is unusual for me - having been suseptible to colds MY WHOLE LIFE!

So, I think it is VERY safe to say that this is aggro - and let it runs its course. It is the remedy doing its job -and it sounds as if it is working well.

Please try to make sure she understands that if she takes anything - it will either slow down the remedy or stop it...and then she'll be worse for it in the long run.....

Just hang in there, Mselle's daughter - it will pass soon! And then you won't go back to those drugs!!

Take care!!!!!!
big hugs and kisses!!! schmmmmmmch!
Lisa

Dear Mselle
It is a good sign that your daughter is having these symptoms in response to Sulphur. It is a normal and usual response to this remedy which shows that the vitality of the patient is throwing off disease. It will not last above 48 hours or a little more.
Yes, do give her as much water as she wishes and tea too - although not lots of strong tea as that can cause symptoms itself.
During this phase, please note all the symptoms that come forth - for example, is tea drinking usual for your daughter or is it a new development - also details such as whether she wants hot, warm or cold drinks. Whether milk etc.
Also she should note any dreams she has - writing these down -as they are all too easy to forget.
Really there is no need to be scared at these symptoms - they are a very standard response and a good one, and will go away without the need for medicine - please refrain from giving any medicine - homoeopathic or conventional. Also please avoid all camphor and eucalyptus type products.
I am checking the BB regularly while GM is away and if you need to, you can email me too. Also, I expect Frank will help if asked.
No need to worry. Your daughter will be OK.

Hi! it's past 48 hours and my daughter still has a very bad stuffed up nose and symptoms of the flu. Is this normal or is she getting a proving from the sulpher? She is very distressed, moaning, tossing and turning. Please remember she has ocd, anxiety, etc. What do we do? I must go to work in a couple of hours from now, any help, asap will be appreciated. Thanks, Mselle

If she is finding it unbearable, you may need to go down in potency to a 30. In which case give one dose only.
Please only give this if it is necessary.

Anna, I don't have 30 available, would take several days to get it. I have kali sulph.6x by hylands. I wonder if this is similar.

Another thought, can I open the 200c sulp and have her take a wiff. would that be approximately a 30 dose?

She is sleeping now, and I hope when she wakes this will have passed. I keep telling her that it's all sorts of toxic waste coming out of her system via the flu. I hope this is a correct interpretation. Thanks again, Mselle
