Snoopy and Gina....it is good to know that there are people like yourselves who can relate to my situation and at the same time advise people not to fall in the trap of homeopaths who like to prescribe high potency remedies.

It has been close to about 2 months since I was administered silicea. Firstly gina as far as my homeopath is concerned he was neither willing to help me in this situation nor do I have any intentions of ever going back to him. I am still trying to get over the effects of silicea but in the mean time I decided to take matters into my own hands. After some research and advise from people on this forum I took one dose of heapr sulfuris 6x about 2 weeks back. It seemed to help a little initially, I kind of felt like myself for a while but then it seems like i started getting other aggravations from hepar. It seems to have flared up acne and also now i feel extremely hot, I also seemed to have had some hair falling and having very dry skin. I read that hepar is the same as silicea so I am also wondering how it is mentioned as an antidote.

So I have not taken anything to antidote silica since then and I am just hoping that in due course of time the effects might go away on their own. I have also just today gone and consulted my doctor and done a few tests to check my thyroid and blood work.

Homeopathic remedies are strong and powerful substances and must be handled with caution as they can cause one extreme and prolonged effects much of which cannot be understood nor antidoted by other remedies.

In 1977 , when I was brand new to homeopathy{the only thing I had become interested in were the Schussler Salts},had for many years a terrible case of excess foot perspiration ,odor so I was seduced by a small white paperback that claimed one could take as many doses of any 12 salts as you felt you needed with NO harmful side effects. Next 2 days I took 6 doses of silicea,6x and amazingly it completely stopped the "problem" Now, 32 yrs. later I still have no foot perspiration, kidneys are failing and I feel certain that if ft. perspiration started again, it would slow down the kidney problem.HELP, Best Regards,Fredric

It is common of agravations in oversensitive persons specially in deep acting medicines.It is always advisable to go from 30,200,1M at different intervals after exhaution of action of earlier potency.

Anitdoting the remedy can be done in two ways.

1, By selecting indicated antidote by present symptoms.

2,By taking LOWER potency of same medicine.

If symptoms remain same ie as in this case of silicea ,You can take LOWER potency like 6th on one day next day 30th and wait.Your annoying symptoms will vanish and still SILICEA continue to act to your advantage.
