I am going away to Kenya for two weeks and I think my booster for tetanus has probably expired. i don't really want a new booster at this stage and wondered whether I might be able to take Ledum with me instead. But I am not really sure how to use it, strength etc in the advent that I should need to.

Any thoughts or advice welcome

Gina, thanks for the information. A lot of people will say, "I'm against all vaccinations--except for tetanus." Why the exception, I always wonder? And I also agree, wait until you have some reason to take Ledum, like stepping on a rusty nail, at which point, I would put a pellet of ledum into a small bottle of water, take a sip, and take it two or three times a day for three days, always shaking the bottle before each dose.

I reared my 3 kids in the Fever ridden Sepik swamps of PNG without them ever having more than half a days illness, while all around us others both local and expat were going down like flies. Mostly it was Aconite alt Pulsatilla when the kid's eyes started looking dull, and behaviour a bit maungy, as determined by my wife.
I found that Hyp alt Ledum handled any rusty nail punctures, tin scratches, mosquito bite itches etc.
My children never ever had a vaccination or tetanus shot in their young lives.

My homeopathic Volunteer work takes me to Indonesia often (going again in Sept2009) Doing volunteer work in remote clinics would be the best place to get anything tropical but I have never taken any vaccine! Have avoided Malaria/Dengue/Yellow fever/food+water born illness...................by using homeopathic remedies in my kit.
NO vaccine is a safe Vaccine!
Homeopathics is the way to go!
And dont forget taking a mossienet with you !

Been most often to the Indonesian Island Of Bali.
There are a few clinics there that accept the use of homeopathic remedies. One in Ubud one in Lovina.(and a few more scattered about Bali) There is another remote clinic in Sumatra where the 2004 Tsunami killed 300,000 people.
Most cases are acute,accidents,burns,birthing,cuts.......etc.
Complex Chronic casetaking cannot be done in the short amount of time I spend there,No one can Do the important follow up monotoring.
The Word-Homeopathy does not exist in their Kamus (bahasa Indonesia Dictionary) So I teach Verry basic 101 of homeopathy.In sept I will go again to Bali and Java. Any interest in doing volunteer work (homeopathy)?Please let me know I can set you up.
