Thanks...sounds like my course....and they also recommend practising under a qualified (experienced) Homeopath before venturing out to treat trusting patients!
I'm hoping to find a goooood Homeopath that will take me on, when I get to that point!! Thanks for the info.. Lisa |

No one is allowed to prescribe without supervision until after graduated (4 years training). Most begin working with homeopath before graduation, usually in third or fourth year. I started a bit earlier than that. I have only two years experience of practice since graduation.

Thanks again...it sounds almost just like my course requirements.
I think we are encouraged to start practicals in the third year...but if I can find a good Homeopath that will allow me to sit in a few times per week, earlier...then I will do it. I am so excited. I can't believe you have only been doing this two years on your own now....you sounded like an old fart to me (he he) ....hope you don't mind my saying that!Lisa

At my college we had to sit in for 105 hours with an experienced homeopath before we were allowed to qualify. This has now been raised to 150 hours. That is as well as presenting a minimum of 10 cases with 2 follow ups which had been fully supervised.

Devon is a school at which you don't have to find your own hours sitting in because you attend extra in the last two years watching Misha's video clinics live. So that counts as sitting in time. It was just as well for me because no local homoeopath allows sitting in around Oxford that I could find, and elsewhere those who do, charge quite a lot for it. Great if you can get it of course. But that's one of the reasons this bb is so good - sitting in for almost free! |

Oh MY!! I didn't realise one had to PAY to sit in!! This seems crazy to me.
When I'm qualified and become experienced enough to help students in their final jurney to become qualified - I WON'T charge....that just seems a hindrance to those who cannot afford it! Also - it seems a bit opportunistic to me.....zzzzz...maybe I just got it all backwards, but I thought the point was to further our knowledge and help each other (as Homeopaths!).... Do Homeopaths charge each other to 'share' rep info they have compiled?? If so, pooey on them - that is crazy...I don't think Hahnemann did that! Lisa |
