I do not understand the desire to see homeopathy 'recognised' by Doctors and MDs etc. Why should I care what they think of it? The AMA was originally set up to destroy homeopathy and nearly suceeded in the US. Homeopathy is there to serve the sick - thats it - the rest is of little consequence. Why make a mongrel out of homeopathy to make the pack feel better?

Unfortunately true meaning of service has little to do with money. 'We did everything we could'= Doctored to death = nice fat bill.

Dolci,
An allopath is a Conventional Medical Doctor.

I have to agree with Frank on this - I don't give a STUFF whether or not the Conventional Medical Community recognises Homeopathy. I also think that when they do recognise Homeopathy, that could be the beginning of the end of practising Homeopathy in the States! Regulations, control and restrictions will be put into place...and by whom? Qualified Homeopaths? Probably not - and THAT IS SCARY!

Also, another angle here: I think that true and knowledgeable Homoepathic practitioners have a sense of confidence in the art and science of Homeopathy - while others (even though some are well meaning) do not view healing from an objective standpoint. What I mean is that people have been so indoctrinated (for so long) to believe that allopathy is the BE ALL and END ALL of healing...and automatically defer to it when an alternative therapy isn't working or taking too long...hence, their confidence (deep down) lies with an MD merely because it is recognised as THE true method of medicine in our day and age! Think back 150 years ago - 'MDs' were using 'tonics'and all sorts of crazy methods to 'heal'people...read the Organon and other sources to see where the Conventional Medical Practises stem from!!! Very unscientific. Very dangerously based. And they refer to NO set of principles in healing a patient...in fact, healing is not even on their agenda - they have got i backwards! Suppression...kill kill kill the microbes..and wa la - a patient is magically cured....

MD scrathces head when patient comes back with yet another problem months later...Never considers that the 'new' problem is connected to the old problem......

I could go on, but won't....so suffice it to say:

This is not an organisation that I would ever even look to for any sort of approval....why? When they don't 'get it' about healing. And for those MD's who do 'get it'...funny how they turn to Homeopathy fully! That is what happened to many MD's turned Homeopaths...they were employed to discredit Homeopathy...were told to study it so that they could discredit it intelligently..and they were all converted! HA! Funny thing...devine justice.

So, I hope that those who study Homeopathy - and Really Understand it - will gain confidence enough that they won't feel an insecure desire to pine for approval from the 'powers that be'....

Just my thoughts on the matter.
Good day to all!
Lisa

My friend/neighbor is on disability fighting compensation for years, she pays money she doesnt have to this locally popular bigshot MD/"natural" doctor for years now. She has autoimmune and multiple chemical sensitivity problems heavy metal poisoning and chemical poisoning severely. She worked in them for 16 years in a factory. For years this "MD" had her on so many things at once, chelation IVs, multiple homeopathic remedys daily, the latest herbs, toxic "natural" substances, glandulars, daily self-injections of serotonin, allergens, hormones, every time she comes home with more ****. Unfortunately she has no internet so luckily I look up a lot for her and shes rethinking a bit.The worse part is shes getting sicker every year, shes so skinny now theres nothing left. Well, this scenerio came to mind reading about this "MD" involvement. LindaM.

HOW SMART!
PEOPLE DEMAND INSURANCE COVERING, DOCTOR DEMAND TAKING OVER HOMEOPATHY, AND NATURAL, ALTERNATICVE THEREPIES, BY SNEAKING METODES, LOBBYING, PAYOFFS ETC, SEAKING IN LAWS ETC, REFORMING LAWS, ONE WORD IS ENOUGH.
FORMING SCHOOL WHER THEY SUPPOSE TO TEACH ALTERNATIVE METOSDE4S, SPEWING OUT QUACKS, IN ORDER TO DECEIVE PEOPLE THAT HOMEOPATHY AND OTHER THERAPIES IS WORTLESS..BY MALTREATMENTS..HOW AMUSING..ITS ENOUGH TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS THE WORLD AROUND..DOCS EVERYWHERE FORMING SCHOOLS. JUNK SCHOOLS, LEGISLATING LAWS ETC, MONEY AND POWER, ONES DEAD, THE OTHERS BREAD..BIG CHEMICAL COMPANIES BYING UP MANUFACTORES OF HOM REMEDIES, TRANS FOR THAT INTO SHIT, AND PEOPLE GROW WEARY OF NONWORKING REMEDIES AND THERAPIES.
THIS, CAUSE IS THEYR ALL FAKES!
CONSPIRACY FROM BIG MONEY AND POWER PEOPLE, AND STUPID ASSES SUPPORTS THIS DEADLY THREAT TO DEMOCARCY!

JVolkman :
Here in Switzerland homeopathic treatment is included in insurance coverange since a year or so. Chinese Medicine is partly reimbursed from insurance only if the practitionner has some paper from the government recognising his/her abilities. It's all very new, but developping rapidly.
I think it's very well since it does encourage people to try something else besides allopathic medecine.
I only hope people don't get mixed up with all the possibilities !

This is a result of the German heilpraktikerlaw, and is something completely different! If this law is set in motion all over the world, it is okay, cause it recognises the difference between a heipraktiker and doctores, its a strickt border here, that this laws enforces..
And it was first given as pay for all the practitioners that went to the gaschambers..
Other countrys is not so human, they try to kill us of slowly over centurys...stealing ouer metodes, and destroy them..by imposing as practitioners, and using a impaired infested metode, allopathy mix..

In the UK things are confused!! Some insurance companies will accept homeopathic practioners BUT only if they belong to the Faculty of Homeopaths which is a Society made up from medical personnel such as MD, nurses etc.A lot of these practioners have had a short course in homeoopathy and practice it in an allopathic manner i.e. they prescribe on the symptom rather than the whole person. Other insurance companies will accept a RSHom but only when recommended by their GP ( allopathic Doctor) and I'm afraid that a lot of allopathic Doctors will not refer their patients despite Government hand outs (July '98) which reminded them that they could. MOstly then a patient has to pay to see a homeopath and therefore we often get patients who have been through the free National Health Service allopathic route and given up before they try alternatives. If anyone out there can correct me about the Faculty members' I would be delighted to hear it!
