Macrep is the best, but it's the most expensive too.
If you like Synthesis repertory it's only available on Radar.
Cara is the cheapest.

I just ordered Synthesis on Amazon.com for $190 (Barthel and Klunker - 3 vols).

but beware - if you order from Amazon.co.uk -they price is almost 400 Pounds Sterling! Big difference!

Hope this helps!

Thanks Lisa

That is certainly worth knowning about buying from the US.

I use Murphy Rep but I would think that any program is user-friendly.

Jill, Macrep is available from the Kent homoeopathic associates - their rep is in Edinburgh I recall.
Radar is available from the sole UK distributor in Sussex.
I think both these companies are breaking UK competition law by selling this way, but that's how it is. It keeps the price high, as specified by the manufacturer.
Cara has a more widespread distribution. It is available from homoeopathic booksellers, but can usually be bought cheaper direct from the company that produces it.
The addresses for all of them are to be found in the adverts in the journal of the society of homoeopaths. If you don't have access to that, just say and I will post the phone numbers.

My brother owns a bookstore so I asked him to order in paperback the synthetic reportory. He called the distributor and they told him that the particular edition they were selling had 3 different language translations in it and gave him number to call to get a different edition: 1-800-663-8272. Since I
don't know if there is a difference in either except maybe the first one is a lot thicker..does anyone know if thats the only difference? The price is same on both(195.).

Hi Jill,
Macrep, Cara and Radar all offer free trial discs to potential buyers. They are not as extensive as the full programmes, but will give you a taste of how they work and perhaps help you to decide which you find most user-friendly.

The reps also do demonstrations of how their programmes work at various homoeopathic events during the year and almost certainly will be at the Society's conference in Keele in September. I know that's a wee while to wait but it's worth making sure that you get the right programme for you as it's a considerable amount of money to shell out.

Good luck.

First learn to use the books, takes minimum ten years, then think of pc programmes.
Ive tested a few, none was reliable, they where dangerous, and. i dont trust pc programmes now either.Have to test them thouroug first.Seen to many cases done by newbeginners, with more money than common sense, utilizing pc programmes, and maltreated patients as a result!
its noth wort it!
