I have no understanding whatsoever about homeopathic medicine. But now I want to educate myself to help my ailing mother. If someone could take the time to read the quick history of my mom's illness I would greatly appreciate some names of books or sites I can read.
She is 59 and spent the majority of her life working very hard. She didn't drink, smoke or eat any red meat. She was extremely vibrant. She didn't drive so she walked everywhere. Quickly. The other day I was walking with her and she joked that now I was the fast walker and she had to keep up with me. A year ago she had a dizzy spell. The doctors said it was high blood pressure and gave her some pills. Things escalated after that. She was living in the Caribbean when that happened I asked her to come here ( Toronto )to seek more help. She's had heart palpitations, weakness and pain in her shoulders arms, dizziness, lack of appetite and low energy. We've done tests to check for everything from her heart to her brain. I's been a year and the only thing the doctors can say is she has arthritis . She can't bath herself and can't cook anymore. We've just gotten a nurse and a physio person to come in once in a while. I ask her what more I can do for her and all she wants is some answers. She just wants to know what's wrong with her. She wants to get better but she doesn't know what's causing the problems. I'd appreciate any help. I want to help her but I don't know where else to turn. |

Arthur, do re-post at the discussion forum, as Lisa suggested. But you might add anything remarkable about: your mom's food likes and dislikes (like "craves salt" or "milk makes her nauseous"), sleeping habits, times of day or weather conditions when she feels better or worse, and some personality traits, and whether any of these things have changed since the dizzy spell.
There are some great sites with introductory info. I would suggest reading the introductory texts at www.simillimum.com, then look around www.simillibus.com and http://homeopathyworld.cjb.net/. The latter has a caseform you can download. There is an online version of The Organon of Medicine available at this site and downloadable text versions available at the other sites, as well. Some would say that is the only book you need to read but read the intro stuff first. And good luck to you and your mom. |

You might try to get the doctor to do a thyroid check on your mother. It sounds like what I was going through before I got a doctor that didn't think I was being over dramatic in what was happening to me. Good luck to you and Mom. Have a rainbow day. Louella. |
