Default not sure if this is the right place-Q for naturopaths in the US

Hi there. I am planning to study naturopathic medicine in the UK but eventually return to the US. I am looking at articulation of standards for licensure etc....but there is a sort of nuts and bolts question I have....

WHen you practice in the US, are group practice folks typically offered 'standard' medical insurance? I could see how a naturopath or a homeopath (or fillin the blank) wouldn't probably regularly see an allopath, but, what happens in the instance of getting smacked by a car, or your child, heaven forbid, get severely injured? Where I was in the US (California) they have to treat you....but if you then have any assets whatsoever, they are attached and potentially say goodbye to your home etc. How do folks manage?

Thanks for answering this really dull question

Tracy
