Hello
I am a new user, second year H student with The School of Homeopathy, Devon. I live in a little Alaska town, pretty isolated. I am still working on paper using Kent's Repertory. I wonder if any of you know where I can download some repertory sheets. This month I'd like to send in my work by email, and the sheets I have are awful to scan and send... Is this a good place for contact and support in my study?

Hey Lisa,
I still hand rep a lot of my cases, especially if I am fed up with the computer program I use. I'd like a copy of your rep sheet! Ruth, If you still use Kent's, I just want to make a suggestion to you that could make things a little easier for you in terms of sending completed assignments via email: Years ago when I was studying I was given a CD called the Gift of Homeopathy--it's a sample version of the ReferenceWorks program, which doesn't include the extensive library or the various repertories for your repertorization...but it does easily do a simple repertorization chart (or 6, giving you the opportunity to try out different perspectives for each case and weigh the outcomes...very handy!). I got the CD from a live demonstrator, but I know you can go to the website for Kent Homeopathic Associates and download this version for free. It will allow you to set up repertorization charts on your computer, which you can then save on a clip board, paste on a Word document, and send via email as a separate file. If you need to, you can also print out your chart from the Word file and keep a hard copy of it for your case files. That will make things easy for you, I think.

Oh, and yes, this is a great place for support in your studies. Check out the free books on-line, too! Very, very handy for quick references.

Thanks Lisa and Cha Cha for the quick response!
I did get "The Gift of Homeopathy" and have not gotten very far in using it. Since I first hooked it up to our home computer (probably incorrectly) it "took over" the icons on our hard drive and inserted itself in several other places. Didn't make my husband too happy. I will pour over the booklet and call the tech support to get it working correctly (on a laptop). Even a six symptom rep sheet would be great at this point--I see them used from time to time in the Units. I'm glad I found this site and look forward to more dialogue. Ruthe in Alaska

Well, if the icons take over the hard drive, that program's got more problems than I thought!
I got a CD rom with the program on it, and the problem at our house was more like "why can't I just install this program to the harddrive and use it from there?" But I think thing's have worked out fine with it just the way it is. And I'm much better at repertorizing by the "seat of my pants" now... just take the books, look up the rubrics, and note which remedies recur and/or look unfamiliar. Anyway, I just thought that would be a good way to send a finished chart via email without doing too much extra work. I'm glad you found this site, too, and look forward to hearing more from you in the future. [ 13. January 2004, 22:37: Message edited by: ChaChaHeels ]
