Hompathic softwares and Pakistani Market

Homoeopathic softwares are 3 times cheaper in India than in Pakistan.

Pakistan is a large market for homoeopathic products and softwares. What the companies dealing in homoeopathic softwares need to know is the purchasing power of an average Pakistani homoeopath if they want to penetrate the Pakistani market.

Hompath Classic was launched in Pakistan in December 2004 but given its prohibitive price, its sales could not achieve the targeted figures. Pakistani homoeopaths feel that any brand of the software (Hompath Classic, MD and Premium) is being sold in Pakistan at a price 3 times more than the one in India. For example, Hompath Premium (multi-cd version) is available in India for Rs. 9999/- but in Pakistani it is sold at Rs. 30,000/-.

If the Pakistan market is to be captured, the companies dealing in homoeopathic softwares will have to take the price factor into consideration.

To be fair, the price in Pakistan should not be more than Pak Rs. 14500/-, after taking into account the local octroi (ex-Mumbai) and currency exchange rate difference. The price is based on the assumption that the commission to the Pakistani Distributor is paid at the same rate as is paid to his counterpart in India.

He said, the news is not true. He said, I have to pay 140 dollar in the form of royality and After taxes the actual cost is 8500. How can i offer the software in 10000 price when I have to pay 150 dollar extra to courier service. He said, you can purchase the hompath premium after paying 25000 to Dr. Tariq Khan. He was also with him. I took detail interview. That interview will be publsihed in all homeopathic magazines.

What you have been told is absolutely contrary to the facts.

The Indian distributors offer the software at Indian Rs. 9999/-.

Royalty is paid only on Complete Repertory and it is nominal and not US$140/- as the CP version used in the Hompath Classic is old.

Courier charges for Pakistan for a parcel weighing less than half a Kg are Indian Rs. 500/- . However, the point to be remembered is that the software is sent by bulk air consignment to the distributor in Pakistan and the charges are very nominal. Check with Air India or Pakistan International Airlines. As far the tax, it is just 02% of the Indian price.
