New England School of Homeopathy (NESH) Two Year Certificate Course with Drs. Amy Rothenberg and Paul Herscu Beginning September 30th, 2005 in Miami Beach, Florida We welcome International & US students through this gateway city! First Year Dates: 2005 ~ September 30-October 2 / December 9-11 2006 ~ February 3-5 / March 31- April 2 / June 2-4 / August 4-6 Thank you for your interest in our upcoming New England School of Homeopathy Two Year Course (NESH). http://www.nesh.com. Please feel free to contact us with any inquiries at course@nesh.com. This class is designed for both the beginner and the more experienced homeopath. It is open to physicians, nurses, therapists and serious lay people interested in the practice of classical homeopathy. We will be teaching all of the basics beginning with philosophy and case-taking through to materia medica, repertory, case analysis and long-term follow-up care. We will emphasize the Herscu method of Cycles and Segments which integrates all aspects of practice. Cycles and Segments is a tool which allows us to focus on our case-taking and offers a practical way of organizing and analyzing the information gathered. This approach has consistently been shown to provide a deep, dynamic understanding of homeopathic remedies without the memorization of cumbersome lists of individual symptoms. The class will meet Friday through Sunday, every other month for two years. The course will begin on September 30th, 2005 in Miami Beach, Florida at the all-suite, oceanfront Newport Beachside Resort at http://www.newportbeachsideresort.com. The resort is well-situated between Ft. Lauderdale International and Miami International Airports. Convenient airport shuttle service and local public transportation is readily available with numerous, affordable restaurants both on-site and within easy walking distance. Participants are given suggested reading and homework assignments between sessions. Current students also receive a subscription to the Herscu Letter, a twice monthly publication providing lectures and problem-based exercises that reinforce and expand on the in-class curriculum. We encourage communication among students through our private on-line student bulletin board. We strive to create a supportive learning environment where deep understanding is attained in a climate of respect, questioning and debate. In the past, these relationships have contributed to the overall health and dynamism of the homeopathic community at large. Our goal is for every NESH graduate to fulfill their health-care potential with the requisite tools to enjoy a successful and satisfying practice of homeopathy. As more health conscious people turn to complementary and alternative medicine for the care of themselves and their loved ones, they are constantly seeking qualified homeopaths to guide them to better realize their highest aspirations for health. Class size is limited; so please send in your application early. A welcome packet with class dates, information on travel, lodging and a suggested pre-course reading list will be mailed out upon acceptance to the course. For a succinct introduction to the Cycles and Segment approach, read Dr. Herscu's Stramonium with an Introduction to Analysis through Cycles and Segments. Hundreds of homeopaths are successfully applying this method to their practice with excellent results. These techniques help to make homeopathic practice less overwhelming, more rewarding and dynamic and thus more enjoyable. You can also read more about Cycles and Segments in either of the last two issues of The New England Journal of Homeopathy (Volume 8, #s 1 & 2) available at http://www.nesh.com/main/nejh.html and the Computerized Herscu Module at http://www.wholehealthnow.com/homeop...cu_module.html Students in the course are offered special software discounts through Patti Mount (Patti@iantd.com). We look forward to learning with you and helping you further your understanding of, and commitment to homeopathy. Please contact us for more information and an application at course@nesh.com.
