Friends,
If you're interested in attending the below-described seminar with Andre Saine, ND, for FREE (in exchange for staffing a book booth sponsored by Homeopathic Educational Services), email me at dullman@igc.org --Dana Ullman 2004 Conference and Annual Member Meeting The American Institute of Homeopathy and The Integrative Medicine Program at The University of Connecticut Health Center present The Homeopathic Treatment of the Patient with Pneumonia a two day seminar by André Saine, ND October 2-3, 2004 University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, CT DESCRIPTION OF SEMINAR Pneumonia is the leading cause of death due to infectious disease in the United States. The mortality rate for community-acquired pneumonia in the U.S. is approximately 12 %; for hospital-acquired pneumonia, approximately 26%. Of the patients who do recover from pneumonia, many never fully regain their health. Increasing resistance to antibiotics is well-known. Approximately 30 billion dollars was spent on the treatment of pneumonia and influenza in 2003. A historical review of the homeopathic literature indicates that for 17,669 cases treated in U. S. homeopathic hospitals during a 32-year period, the mortality rate was less than 4%. Currently, the opportunity for U. S. homeopathic physicians to treat patients with pneumonia has been limited by the unwillingness of hospitals in this country to permit the use of homeopathic remedies and by the lack of residency training. Dr. André Saine, a Canadian homeopath and the presenter for this seminar, has had the opportunity to treat more than 150 cases with all types of pneumonia, without the use of antibiotics, with a mortality rate of 0%. In this 2-day seminar, Dr. Saine will present a brief history of epidemiological data on the homeopathic treatment of the patient with pneumonia, the differential materia medica of the remedies most commonly used, along with a discussion of posology and prognosis through the study of cured cases. The American Institute of Homeopathy and The Integrative Medicine Program at The University of Connecticut Health Center are proud to co-sponsor this exciting seminar. Those of us in the homeopathic community look forward to the opportunity to educate others about the possibilities for cure without the use of antibiotics. Those of us in the academic community look forward to the opportunity to begin a collaboration for the development of clinical research studies on the homeopathic treatment of the patient with pneumonia. We welcome you to join us in this collaborative effort. Last edited by jonh; 9th September 2004 at 09:37 PM. |
