Question Herb Prevention of Colds or Flu?

What would you do to prevent and kick a cold or flu?

My daughter has these symptoms: Cough, Congestion, Sneezing to get out mucus and starting to complain of a sore throat.

I have given her Triple Echinacea and Super Silver. I feel a little weird about the Silver as I've been told it acts as a natural antibotic and concerned that if she' s not healthy than will it work against her? I've only heard good things about it but I'm always leary of taking something other than healthy diet, vitamins or echinacea (sparingly) as a preventative.

But my primary question is this: is Trilight Herbs the best tinctures (in your opinions)or is there other quality tinctures out there that I don't know about. I have given my family "Viramune" and "Sinus Minus". I'm pretty comfortable with them but I like options. Any opinions of Goldenseal?

Default preventing the flue

hello
to prevent the flue one must keep the immune system up to par.
eating healthy, washing hands, not being near others that are obviously sick is a start....yes easier said than done when you have to go to work and or school where others are 'not' so conserned about spreading illness via sneezing/coughing.
From the herbal angle taking lots of vitamin C, astragalus, olive leaf extract.
From a homeopathic angle one must wait for your symptoms to guide you towards a proper remedy. each one of us has a 'flue' all our own with its personalities.
But right from the start if treated via homeopathy ,'my' flue lasts no longer than a few days (2-3) instead of using over the counter pills that suppress your flue this can cause it to last for a` month or two...and relapse.
