Hi I am a new member, I know nothing about Homeopathy except that it is a more natural way of medicine, I have an 11 month old girl, who has not been vacinated, I am highly against those shots and am wondering if there is some sort of homeopathic alternative, and like I said I have no clue about Homeopathy, so please explain to me like i'm 3, thank you.

Ok now there are homeopathic alternatives but basically these have not been proven to work. What is best is that you take your child to a professional Classical homeopath to find their constitutional remedy. When this is given the body will be in a better position to fight any diseases it comes across. Other than that if your child does get a disease the child can be treated with homeopathy which will assure that the disease is over with quickly without too much distress.
I admire your stance re vaccinations. I have just one family where the kids have not been vaccinated and they are basically very healthy. The 4 yr old has glue ear and the doctors want to put grommets in which Mumdoes not want. He has improved his hearing with the second remedy I gave him. His ears went pop!! The trick is to find the constitutional remedy for the child in many cases of a chronic problem so find a classical homeopath through recommendation and sign your child up.

Are you aware of the fact that if you let a child have a common childhood disease that after it they grow very quickly, physically and mentally. The body also learns how to fight disease and the thymus gland gets to do what it should be doing, resisting disease which it often doesn't get an oppotunity to do in vaccinated kids!!

Good for you for resisting the vaccines and trusting your babies ability to fight disease. I totally agree with Ricky - there are some homeopathic preparations that act as a prophylactic against the common childhood illness that kids are routinly vaccinated for but they are not usually recommended. What homeopathy does wonderfully is to give the body some extra help once the disease has taken hold, I know that sounds scary, you don't want to wait for your child to become ill to do something - as a parent you'd rather prevent them becoming ill in the first place BUT many of the common illnesses serve as a booster for the immune system and also brain functioning and growth. The best way to keep your little one healthy is to give them a proper, nourishing diet, and of course treat them homeopathically for ailments rather than using suppressive meds like antibiotics.

it is so heartening to see more and more people trust their own instincts, especially about vaccinations. after listening to various arguments in the field for several years, the position i am taking these days is this. First, infants are born with immunity carried from the mother. this works to protect the infant while it begins to develop it's own immunity. childhood colds and fevers, altho scarey and energy consuming, usually work to strengthen the young child. vaccinations given in infancy interrupt the development process by essentially usurping the body's authority over itself.

i do agree with other notes here that classical homeopathy treats dis-ease when it manifests itself. we do not simply substitute a homeopathy remedy for an allopathic one. that is not how our protocol works.

but FYI, some homeopaths administer nosodes once a person is vaccinated to antidote the bad effects of the vaccination.. i do have grave doubts about this whole process. why give the vaccination and then try to antidote it?

You might check to see if Edward Chapman, MD is still practicing in the Boston area and if he accepts insurance.

A Boston friend told me Dr. Chapman isn't seeing any new patients at this time. I was given a couple other names, however: Christine Luthra, MD and Richard Moskowitz, MD. Both have many years of experience, and I believe both accept insurance.

A personal anecdote from my life on vaccinations. I have a 3 year old whom I refuse to vaccinate. He is above the charts for weight, height and mental acuity. He is still nursing @ 3 and doing fantastic.

My wife and I pushed and pulled about this, with the pediatrician calling me into his office and explaining how my child would be scarred for life without them.

When I was 5, I was a robust and healthy child. I had a typhoid and TB vaccine ( in India, where I grew up) and very soon lost weight and became marasmic. I knew the cause, but not the cure. Nobody would listen to a child then.

I discovered Homeopathy in my late 20's, and practicing classical home, and taken medicines to counteract, which brought back a lot of my vitality and corrected my problems, but some structural problems that were caused due to the ill effects of vaccination is here to stay and I suffer from it.

Kudos to those moms and dads who stand out and voice their support in favor of their children's health.

Just a little note to confirm the above. Relax most of all, your kids' health has not yet been compromised and tampered with through the vaccinations. I also chose not to vaccinate my two daughters and they are doing just fine. Doctors have told me that they "benefit" from everyone else being vaccinated and from childhood diseases being "eradicated" by the vaccines... I know that this is bull and that my kids are healthy because their immune system has not been tampered with yet. The older one had chickenpox at age 2 (perfectly normal) and I helped with a remedy to speed up the cure (even that would possibly not have been necessary, but it worked). After that she improved in so many ways that I thanked the childhood disease for its appearance.

I have personally seen children come down with the disease against which they were vaccinated, right after the vaccination or even much later. Also, I have seen a child develop seizures after vaccination (he is being seen by a homeopath now). That is way more scary than having a few childhood diseases which we all survived in the earlier years.

Homeopathy can help constitutionally, i.e. to improve the overall response of the immune system or specifically in acute situations. Good for you to go this route.
Perhaps you could check out a book in your local library called "The Science of Homeopathy" by George Vithoulkas. He explaines how it works in better terms than I could.

You couldnt get a better authority on vaccination , he has written widely on comparisons of populations that have been vaccinated , and whet happened to those that were NOT vaccinated .
