The Cause of her hearing loss is due to a normal part of childhood. Eustatian tubes are horizontal during the early years and make for difficult drainage ability. The tubes fill with whatever is supposed to drain and become thick and mucky. this causes the little bones of the middle ear to stop moving and thus sound to be stopped. The problem is faily common. She is also a thumb sucker, which causes saliva to be pushed up into the eustation tubes. We are currently treating the thumb sucking with a divice called Thumb guard.

Please read post listed "Hearing loss in 3 year old"

This sounds like glue ear and this was confirmed when I looked at your other post.

Yes, there are remedies that can help with this, however, I really think that you need to find another homeopath. It is just that potencies of remedies given in 30x and not that likely to help. If you give a constitutional remedy you should at least be giving this in a 30c potency, or with children, there are often good indications for giving LM's. Children are on the whole very responsive to remedies. LM's are very gentle and this is a way of giving a daily dose and controlling how much and when you give the remedy. This sounds like a good idea with your daughter.

Basically, you do need a remedy that will fit the whole case to be effective. From reading what you have written already, there are possible indications for Phos, a remedy that she has already had. She may have had more reaction if the potency had been higher however.

Anyway, I would suggest that either you try and find a new homeopath and go and see him/her or Snoopy on this board is a very good homeopath with lots of experience. She has designed both an acute and chronic questionnaire that can be filled in with all the relevant information. She will then go through and analyse it and will ask you further questions if needed. She will then select a remedy and potency and will send it to you with full instructions. She will handle the case and do follow-ups to see how things are going.

I would suggest that you complete the chronic questionnaire and this can be found on this board under Discussion. It is the first post that says questionnaire. Complete this and post it online or you can PM her with it if you like. This questionnaire can be found either here or there is one on the Hpathy board too.

Anyway good luck and there are remedies that can help that could well prevent the grommet insertion.

I agree that it sounds like glue ear. Glue ear is a childhood problem which is often successfully treated with homeopathy and without the use of grommets. Please find a classical homeopath who will take the full case as suggested above.
